Nerissa Tridawn // Splinterlands Art Contest Week 188!
I hope you're well, welcome to this post about my new entry into the Splinterlands Art Contest Week 188! .
This illustration was interesting, and a challenge for me! As it forced me to try things I haven't tried before! This time I chose Nerissa Tridawn as I was attracted to the attitude she has in her art, she looks like a strong woman, with a confident look wielding her trident, a bit of a teasing smile, ready to strike at any moment.

¡Esta ilustración fue interesante, y un reto para mí! Ya que me obligo a intentar cosas que no había intentado antes!. Esta vez escogí a Nerissa Tridawn pues me atrajo la actitud que tiene en su arte, se ve como una mujer fuerte, con una mirada confiada empuñando su tridente, una sonrisa un poco burlona, lista para atacar en cualquier momento.

She also looks like she's underwater, so start by thinking of a pose, that will show her active!!!, fighting or about to fight, and that her face will reflect, how exciting she finds the battle.
As always the tools I use for these illustrations is the Ibispaint app for the elaboration process and then I compose everything in Photoshop!
También parece que está bajo el agua, así que inicie pensando en una pose, que la mostrara activa!, peleando o a punto de pelear, y que en su cara se reflejara, lo emocionante que le parece la batalla.
¡Como siempre las herramientas que uso para estas ilustraciones, es la app Ibispaint para el proceso de elaboración y luego compongo todo en Photoshop!

As you can see I wanted to try a dynamic pose, where movement is perceived, and play a little with foreshortening to make it look interesting, and in the final result you can see my intentions, with the arms moving, and the left one trying to pass closer to the "camera".
With this I could now do the line art, with colors to know what color I was going to fill with, and the flat color layer, to start applying the shadows and highlights.
Como ven quería intentar una pose dinámica, donde se perciba el movimiento, y jugar un poco con el escorzo para que se vea interesante, y en el resultado final pueden ver mis intenciones, con los brazos en movimiento, y el izquierdo tratando de pasar más cerca de la "cámara"
Con esto ahora podía hacer el line art, con colores para saber de qué color iba a rellenar y la capa de colores planos, para empezar a aplicar las sombras y luces.

For the shadows I worked an obviously dark color, somewhat inked with purple, and in three layers of multiplying, I traced shadows that I was happy with.
Para las sombras trabajé un color obviamente oscuro, algo entintado de morado, y en tres capas de multiplicar, trace unas sombras con las cuales me sentía satisfecho.

Now to add the sense of motion I copied the previous layer to add an exaggerated motion blur filter and with the "layer mask" tool and a brush with 0 edge, I chose what to show of this blur to give the notion that the arms are moving.
Ahora para agregarle la sensación de movimiento copie la capa anterior para agregarle un filtro de desenfoque de movimiento exagerado y con la herramienta de "máscara de capa" y un pincel con 0 de borde, escogí que mostrar de este desenfoque para que diera la noción de que los brazos se están moviendo.
Background / Fondo
For the background in Ibispaint, I made some strokes with various shades of blue following a direction to make it look like water currents behind Nerissa, then in Photoshop I blurred it a bit and treated its color so that it didn't stand out so much.
Para el fondo en Ibispaint, realice unos trazos con varios tonos de azules siguiendo una dirección para que pareciera corrientes de agua detrás de Nerissa, luego en Photoshop lo desenfoque un poco y trate su color para que no resaltara tanto.
With that taken care of, all that was left was to tweak the contrast and color intensity a bit, and this would be the final result!:
¡Con esto resuelto, ya solo faltaba retocar un poco el contraste y la intensidad de los colores, y este sería el resultado final!:

Muy buen diseño, el dibujo esta muy bueno en realidad yo tambien me dedico al arte pero en tradicional son poco los dibujos en digitales que he hecho 😆
