IT'S A GAME OF INFLUENCE.
So I was thinking to myself: What's the easiest way to make $10,000 a year? Without having to write tons of articles that hardly get read or drive hours in Lagos by creating a one-time product that generates revenues continuously. This has to be something I enjoy doing and requires little or no financial capital (and continuous human capital) on my end.
How can I bring this into fruition? I have some knowledge about a couple of things i.e crypto and hive (since I have spent a sizable amount of my adult life using, reading, and creating content about these things); I enjoy creating content and helping people with the knowledge I have about crypto/hive. If only I can have access to a large pool of individuals, I might be able to convert them to active followers.
So based on my math, it will take about 100 people paying me about $8.3 monthly to amass $10,000 a year. I have an abandoned group of about 200 people, and I am not sure about their purchasing power. Nevertheless, I can create a system where I offer these people value and they pay indirectly via engagement and sharing my work to a larger audience. This is the sum total of my last 30 minutes brainstorming session with myself. I have not come up with a product or service yet but I just want to put this out here as a reminder (plus I can earn some tokens thinking out loud).
THE GAME OF NUMBERS AND INFLUENCE
Many young people are keen on becoming influencers. It is possibly the easiest pathway towards fame and fortune. The next generation of millionaires and billionaires will be the product of social media. Many have already started capitalizing on this opportunity i.e Mr.Beast, KSI, the Tate Brothers, etc. where they build products and services off their large social media following.
The major hassle for the average create has to be getting people's attention which is the most valuable thing on the planet at this point. First, you need content and then a platform where you can reach millions of people and hopefully convert some of these people into loyal followers (easier said than done).
People's attention is fleeting and the access to entertainment and information is at net zero, which makes any form of influencing difficult. Most crypto platforms have opted for the shortcut of incentivising people through giving out tokens, which is a bad idea in my opinion because the people's attention/loyalty they seek will always be tied to how much they can get.
The hard and long route towards becoming influential is creating value and marketing it to as many people as possible. It's a tremendous amount of work with uncertain returns, but if done well guarantees a continous revenue stream . Also, you do not need a large following to achieve this feat.
In the crypto sphere numbers work quite differently especially when compared to traditional systems. For instance, having 100-1000 active users on your crypto project is almost as good as having 10,000-1,000,000 users in a traditional system. It gives you access to a lot of opportunities i.e whitelist spots, private alphas, endorsements, etc this is why I emphasize a lot about social capital.
In conclusion, leveraging or building on your social influence is a viable way to grow wealthy as creator or entrepreneur. our digital identity has become a currency, and with the free flow of data across the internet there are little to no barriers as to who you can reach, and this presents an opportunity for all of us to grow our social capital.

I think building the audience is the hard part because there's usually any one size fits all manual on how to do it. It depends on the creator and based on their personality. Social capital will become more valuable as people's attention span becomes shorter. Value has become more of a soft skill than a hard skill.
I agree. This is learning and acclimatising to your social sphere is important. Thanks for stopping by

Build a community it’s hard, and it’s too hard find followers with quality, I mean people who give you great comments to discuss about your articles or videos. My strategy is to share some of my earns with my audience, for example I reward manual all first comments on my content (0.10 - 1 HIVE) I’m doing that because I don’t have enough HP to upvote them. But in the meantime I’m rewarding them.
Having to build a following some a small set pool of users (like hive) isn't an easy task because there isn't that many people to be quite honest.
Incentivising your readers and commenters can be a fine way to get them to keep revisiting. I do that occasionally

Yeah sure, Hive needs more consumers, currently I think the percentage of people who don’t create content and only consume it’s so low or nonexistent.
