Unicorn Mustang from bronze to silver league - SHARE YOUR BATTLE
Hello everyone on the new season of Splinterlands. By the way, I am Noblebright, and join me on my Journey from bronze to silver league. I want to share with you one of my battle using the UNICORN MUSTANG as a tank from the silver league. I predicted that the opponent would use pure magic in battle based on his battle history so I counter him using my magic lineup as well. My opponent used life line up and I used Earth line up in rank battle.
I use OBSIDIAN as a summoner and it has an additional magic attack on my lineup because I use pure magic damage on my opponent to counter him. At level 4 this summoner is summoning level 5 common, level 4 rare, level 3 epic, and level 2 legendary.
First Position: UNICORN MUSTANG - at level 3 this monster has four (4) melee damage, four (4) speed, eleven (11) health, and a VOID ability that reduced damage from Magic attacks. Unicorn Mustang is good in the first position as my tank because of its VOID ability, high melee, and speed attack, and useful for countering the magic attack.
Second Position: OAKEN BEHEMOTH - at level 1 this monster has two (2) melee and magic damage, three (3) speed, two (2) shields, and nine (9) speed. The abilities are REACH (Melee attacks Monsters with the Reach ability may attack from the second position on the team) and VOID ARMOR (Magic attacks hit this Monster's armor before its Health). Because of his reach and high health OAKEN BEHEMOTH is good for the second position because it serves as my tank if the tank has died.
Third Position: MUSHROOM SEER - at level 4 this monster has two (2) magic damage, three (3) speed, four (4) health and has a SILENCE ability that reduces the Magic Attack of all enemy Monsters. I put this in the middle position because his health is low but has a useful ability to counter the enemy.
Fourth Position: WOOD NYMPH - at level 5 this monster has one (1) magic damage, three (3) speed, four (4) health, and a TANK HEAL ability that restores a portion of the Monster in the first position's health each round. I choose to put Woodnymph in the fourth position because she has small health unlike the other monster and also to utilize her TANK HEAL ability.
Fifth Position: GOBLIN PSYCHIC - at level 5 this monster has two (2) magic damage, one (1) speed, and five (5) health. The abilities are TANK HEAL (Restores a portion of the Monster in the first position's health each round) and AFFLICTION (When a Monster with Affliction hits a target, it has a chance of applying Affliction on the target causing it to be unable to be healed). I choose to put Goblin Psychic in the fifth position because his TANK HEAL ability is very useful to the tank and was saved by the last monster if they have a sneak monster.
Last Position: QUEEN MYCELIA - at level 2 this monster has one (1) magic damage, one (1) speed, and four (4) health. The abilities are PROTECT (All friendly Monsters gain +2 Armor) and AMPLIFY (Increases Magic Reflect, Return Fire, and Thorns damage to all enemy monsters by 1). I put QUEEN MYCELIA at the last position because I predicted that the enemy uses a pure magic attack and also to save GOBLIN PSYCHIC and Woodnymph from sneak ability.

FOG OF WAR: Monsters lose the Sneak and Snipe abilities.
BROKEN ARROWS: Ranged attack Monsters may not be used in battles.

ROUND 1 - In the first round abilities are applied such as, PROTECT,SILENCE and WEAKEN to the Monsters. QUEEN MYCELIA's ability PROTECT applied to all monsters on the team. MUSHROOM SEER ability SILENCE was applied to the enemy monster to reduce the magic damage. While PRIEST DARIUS ability WEAKEN reduces 1 Health of all Monsters on my team.
ROUND 2 - In the second round, URIEL THE PURIFIER survived three times due to the RESURRECT ability of ADELADE BRIGHTWING, PRIEST DARIUS, and the summoner CHANSEUS THE GREAT before he finally died.
ROUND 3 - In the third round, the opponent's monster KRALUS is already in front. They have a hard time reducing the health of Unicorn Mustang because of its VOID ability, SILENCE by MUSHROOM SEER, and HEAL given by Woodnymph and Goblin Psychic.
ROUND 4 - In the fourth round, ADELADE BRIGHTWING, PRIEST DARIUS, and DEFENDER OF TRUTH were easily killed because they were in low health. They also can't match the magic attack of the monsters on my team because OBSIDIAN has increased it.
Round 5 - In the fifth round, BILA THE RADIANT could no longer fight because he easily lost his health. His health wasn't enough to counteract my monster's damage from her LIFE LEECH ability (Monster's health increases each time it damages an enemy Monster's health in proportion to the damage dealt).
Conclusion and recommendation from the battle outcome:
My battle rank turned out well because my strategy worked. With the good result of my rank battle, it is good to use UNICORN MUSTANG to counter the opponent's magic attack. The void ability of the Unicorn Mustang is very useful yet accompanied by its melee and speed attack. It was even more effective due to the different abilities of the monster in the team. But it may not work if the enemy has a sneak and opportunity ability because my monsters in the last position are low health. We must also consider the health of those in the last position and second position so that we do not lose in the battle rank. It's really helpful to take a look at the opponent's past battle so that you can have an idea and predict what he can put in the battle. We must always keep in mind that we can also be confronted by the enemy.
