Hello guys my name is Camilo, and I’m from Cuba 🇨🇺, this is my first English video ever. I will start to make videos speaking in English in order to improve my communication skills and diction.

The situation that bring me to do it, it's that I'm currently working with a company from the US, so when I started with them a year ago I haven't spoken in English in my life. So, at the beginning I thought they will fired me in a week or less, but it didn't happen, and I started to learn with Duolingo and English podcasts.

For the format of these videos (walk and talk) I've inspired by @daltono, actually I told him in a comment because I thought maybe he will get angry because no-one wants to be copied. But he went very kind and support my idea. BTW, @daltono is an excellent guy and great content creator. If you don't follow him, stop my video and go to do it.

That's all for today guys, hope you enjoy or forgive my errors XD

I’m very glad that you decided to do videos like this bro! I already feel like I know you better now that I’ve seen a video featuring yourself. There are many things that I’d like to say about what I just watched…

  • Your thumbnail looks great. I love the design and you should keep doing them like that.
  • I think that your English is wonderful. Don’t underestimate your skill, even if some of your co-workers don’t always show you the most respect. I bet most of the ones from USA don’t speak any Spanish. You’re putting in a lot of effort learning another language.
  • These videos are going to be wonderful to improve your English even more. Keep it up!
  • Cuba looks beautiful. I would love to experience a place like that one day.
  • Props to you for going to the gym, despite having a busy schedule.
  • I’ve found that I feel a million times better now that I’m going to bed earlier and waking up with the sunrise.

I’m so grateful that we are friends. The fact that I inspired you to make videos in your own way makes me so happy. I will always support great work like this. Looking forward to seeing your future videos.

Wow! I don't know what to say, I really admire you and your words are very important for me, this comment is something that I can print and frame hahaha. Thank you very much, bro. And you call me friend, just WOW!, just hope to measure up.

There is something that I want to improve, I think I need to use a selfie stick or something, I have one from my go-pro, but I think I will feel shy hahah. You know? Cubans are not used to see people recording in the streets, and it's because of political stuffs, In communist countries the government is always afraid about their own people, and they think that influencers and people who used to post videos on internet are speaking against them. It's difficult to understand, I know hahaha, so If I record without a stick, maybe they assume that I'm speaking with someone else. But I don't know, I need to find the way to don't cut my head when I speak, haha.

Cuba is beautiful, but now it's difficult to make tourism for a USA citizen here. You need to take a fly to a 3rd country and then come to Cuba. But things are changing, and maybe in one or two years more we achieve our freedom from the communists. You will se 💪

Thank you again!

I’m honored that you think so highly of me, of course we are friends 🤝

I use Lume Cube equipment and they make an excellent mobile creator selfie stick/tripod. I made a post about it before we met. Here it is https://peakd.com/vlogging/@daltono/i-purchased-lume-cubes-mobile-creator-kit-so-i-can-start-vlogging.

I get what you’re saying about standing out to much while recording. People just look at me funny here, but I don’t have to worry about them getting mad at me. Luckily, the place I record along the boulevard is very private. Maybe try to find a good location where there aren’t many people, such as a hiking trail or a forgotten park.

It would be great to witness Cuba and USA getting along well enough for citizens to fly back and forth. So far, my closest experience of a place like that is when I visited Puerto Rico, movies, and Far Cry 6.

hahah Far Cry 6 is a good experience. Hey great set-up!, I'm currently recording with my iPhone 11 and using a go-pro tripod. It's look like a black lightsaber hahaha

I’m still rocking the iPhone XS. I am looking forward to getting a 14 Pro in September though. I’m sure for some camera upgrades finally.

That selfie stick looks fine to me. What’s wrong with it? Too short? Too heavy?
