Earth below us

Drifting, falling

Floating weightless

Calling, calling home.

The lyric of ‘Major Tom’ from Deutchland 82 the Tv Show had doing circles around my head the whole day. I had a lot of nostalgic of home. My born town, my childhood memories, Gibara. So I decided to take a road trip with my girlfriend and visit mom, and my beautiful town. Luckly I have it so near, only 32 kms separate me from my town.

Arriving we went to a ‘paladar’ that’s how we call the small or family restaurants in Cuba, so, there we take a ‘Paella’ a dish with sea food and rice, it was delicious. I also take a crab cocktail and some beers. At evening we had a walkthrough aournd the Paseo Maritimo. And at night we went to a local pub.

Now we are back in Holguín but with a lot of desire to get back.
