It’s the month of December and honestly is beginning to look like Christmas!
On today’s episode of #wednesdaywalk, hosted by @tatoodjay and make me smile by @elizacheng.
I will be sharing what’s going on in my city, especially about our problem with soot from illegally refined petroleum products (crude oil)

Today is Wednesday, it’s an off day for me from the studio but, I do have private practice with some clients at government residential area (GRA) it’s quite a distance from my place.
I left my house at about 6am because it takes roughly 30minutes to get to the location without traffic, In order for me to make the 6:45am class.

I don’t like keeping people waiting, I always try to keep to time because, practice which is exactly 1hour. After practice, I decided to take a walk to the main junction instead of taking a taxi.

As I just walked out of the gate, the first thing I noticed was the black colored clouds above. This neighborhood is so beautiful and the roads are so clean but the black soot just makes everything look dull.

As I kept walking, I saw the new Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in my state, the soot hasn’t really gotten to it because it’s a new building and it looks really beautiful.

One thing about this neighborhood is their love for planting flowers and trees, sidewalks are full of beautiful trees and flowers you can’t help but notice them all around.
There are so many cool things around because it’s a residential area, things like tennis court, student hostel, hospitals and event center.

While walking I also came across an old Peugeot garage that had been abandoned, you can still see the soots around the edges of the building.
I also walked past a radio station called Wave Fm, a winery and more residential buildings with a little touch of black soot around them.

Getting to the junction, took me almost 30minutes and it was time to get a taxi, but while wiping my nose, the black soot was still there.

Everyone is appealing to the government to arrest people who are involved in these illegal refining activities because it’s also affecting the health of people and the aesthetics of the community.
Thanks for stopping by,
See you in the next post!

That soot is so bad there that’s not good

It’s great that people are proud of their neighborhood and plant flowers

Thanks for joining Wednesday Walk :), I truly enjoy exploring the world virtually each Wednesday seeing walks from all around the globe and feeling I am there and experiencing it all myself, such as I did in your post just now :)
