Hi lovelies, it’s time to show you some of my #needlework/ #hivediy
I wanted to make a two piece crochet clothing for myself.
I needed a new project to engage me for the weekend and also to see if I can really pull it through.

Most times when I crochet or knit is either for my siblings or a friend, so making something for myself was very exciting for me…

First of all, I chose the color of the yarn, I wanted something a little mild but not too loud, I decided to go with this mint green and ash color it came out just fine.
I chose a single line crochet style so it looked like it was a waving on someone’s hair..

I started from the skirt because I knew it was going to take time and much of the yarn. Because I had so much of ash yarn I decided to use it as the base while the mint green was just added to lighten it up a bit.

After I finished the skirt, the waist was a little too loose for me and so I decided to make a waistband to make it more fitting and tighter.

For the crop top, I decided to go with the mint green as the base while the ash yarn was used as add up.
Same single line crochet pattern was used but it was made tighter in order to hold up the boobs perfectly.
After the crop top was made, I decided to add up the straps to make it more fitting and for extra flexibility.

With so much time taken to make this two piece, I am happy on how it turned out and I am more confident in my crochet skills and willing to try new styles just for fun and this two piece is so cool to wear and I switch the styles so easily.
