Lately there have been many changes in my daily routine, I started college so during the week I was attending introductory workshops in a face-to-face way; in a way I'm excited to study again, but on the other hand, I must start coordinating my time better to share my creations and experiences with you on a regular basis without leaving aside my college duties.
After leaving college and getting home I didn't have much to do, so it gave me the opportunity to dedicate myself to making a portrait in digital, which, took me less time than I expected. I'm glad to see how my learning with Photoshop tools is increasing and I don't feel so much stress or insecurity to go ahead with a drawing in this medium.
I have many projects in mind in relation to digital drawing, I like to get inspired by seeing drawings of very good artists on Pinterest, Instagram and even on Hive, my mind is running at full speed thinking about the themes that could guide my drawings... I don't have a concrete idea yet but that doesn't stop me from continuing to draw and practice, I know that eventually my style and themes will emerge on their own.

I have noticed that there are artists who sketch their drawing directly in digital, this is something that I am not used to do and I feel that it takes me longer, so for now I prefer to make one or two sketches on paper and then transfer it to the program.
Once I establish the base colors of my drawing, I like to define the contours and volumes of the face by adding shadows and shades to the skin (of course, only the most pronounced shadows).

As I did with the skin, I took some time to define the shadows on my character's clothes and hair, this way the drawing is acquiring a more realistic expression. Also, I defined a little more the shadows and drew the eyes and lips on the face; usually I'm nervous to do the eyes, but in this drawing, it took me more time to draw the shape of the lips, I had to stop for a few minutes to watch some tutorials to free me from some doubts I had.

The last details of the face like: the eyebrows, freckles and some highlights on the skin, definitely made my drawing take on more personality (my favorite part was doing the eyebrows). I don't know exactly how I did it but I also liked drawing the wrinkles on the shirt and the seams. It's definitely the details that make the difference.
Final result:
I figured then I wouldn't need anything more to add and signed my drawing.

Últimamente han habido muchos cambios en mi rutina diaria, empecé la universidad así que durante la semana estuve asistiendo a talleres introductorios de manera presencial; de cierto modo me emociona estudiar otra vez, pero por otro lado, debo empezar a coordinar mejor mi tiempo para compartir mis creaciones y experiencias con ustedes de manera regular sin dejar de lado mis deberes universitarios.
Después de salir de la universidad y llegar a casa no tenía muchas cosas que hacer, así que me dio la oportunidad de dedicarme a hacer un retrato en digital, el cual, me llevó menos tiempo de lo que esperaba. Me alegra darme cuenta como mi aprendizaje con las herramientas en Photoshop van incrementando y no siento tanto estrés o inseguridad de seguir adelante con un dibujo en este medio.
Tengo muchos proyectos en mente en relación al dibujo en digital, me gusta inspirarme viendo dibujos de artistas muy buenos en Pinterest, Instagram ¡e incluso en Hive!, mi mente corre a toda velocidad pensando en las temáticas que podría orientar mis dibujos... Aún no tengo una idea en concreto pero eso no me detiene para seguir dibujando y practicando, sé que eventualmente mi estilo y temáticas surgirán por sí solas.

He notado que hay artistas que realizan el boceto de su dibujo directamente en digital, esto es algo a lo que yo no me acostumbro hacer y siento que tardo más, así que por ahora prefiero hacer uno o dos bocetos en papel y luego pasarlo al programa.
Una vez establezco los colores bases de mi dibujo, me gusta definir los contornos y volúmenes del rostro agregando sombras y matices a la piel (por supuesto, solo las sombras más pronunciadas).

Al igual que hice con la piel, me tomé un tiempo para definir las sombras en la ropa y el cabello de mi personaje, de esta manera el dibujo va adquiriendo una expresión más relista. Asimismo, definí un poco más las sombras y dibujé los ojos y los labios en el rostro; generalmente me pone nerviosa hacer los ojos, pero en este dibujo, me tomó más tiempo dibujar la forma de los labios, tuve que detenerme unos cuantos minutos para ver algunos tutoriales que me liberaran de algunas dudas que tenía.

Los últimos detalles del rostro como: las cejas, pecas y algunas luces en la piel, definitivamente hizo que mi dibujo adquiriera más personalidad (mi parte favorita fue hacer las cejas). No sé exactamente cómo lo hice pero también me gustó dibujar las arrugas en la camisa y las costuras. Definitivamente, los detalles marcan la diferencia.
Resultado final:
Pensé que entonces ya no necesitaría nada más que añadir y firmé mi dibujo.
¿A ustedes qué les parece? Yo estoy especialmente encantada por la paleta de colores.
