Hello, beautiful people of Hive, it's finally Friday!
Today's post will be shorter than usual, but the process of this drawing was quite fast, I still liked the result and I want to share it with you.
On pinterest lately I have come across a style of drawing that has caught my attention, these are character designs (or even scenarios) anime style and with only two or three colors, usually white, black and the third is usually to the artist's liking. I felt especially inspired to do my version thanks to the images of a video game called Catherine that I found on Pinterest, so I wanted to try to do something similar and at the same time, I renewed my profile picture in some of my art accounts in social networks.
One of my fortes is portraiture, especially, if it's self-portraits because I have practice drawing my own face, so I picked a photo I liked and started sketching. I've started to get into the habit of coloring the canvas in some pink or lilac tone before I start making any lines, there's no important reason, I just think it looks pretty hahaha.
When I was done with the sketch, I moved on to outlining with a feather brush, I tried to play with the lines, especially highlighting areas like the chin, nose and eyes with slightly thicker lines. I changed the background color to a deep violet, as it is one of my favorite colors for most of my life, and then colored the skin and blouse white to create contrast.
I felt the need to add more details, but I wanted to stay true to the style I was trying to imitate, so after shading part of the neck, hair and folds in the blouse, I detailed the eyes and with the airbrush I painted as a "blush" on the cheeks and nose and gave volume to the lips.
Then I came up with something fun: design in different layers the typical instagram filters and then turn all the layers into a gif.

Hola, gente bonita de Hive, ¡Por fin es vierneees!
El post de hoy será más corto de lo usual, pero es que el proceso de este dibujo fue bastante rápido, aún así me gustó el resultado y quiero compartirlo con ustedes.
En pinterest últimamente me he topado con un estilo de dibujo que me ha llamado la atención, se trata de diseños de personaje (o incluso escenarios) estilo anime y con solos dos o tres colores, generalmente blanco, negro y el tercero suele ser a gusto del artista. Me sentí especialmente inspirada a hacer mi versión gracias a las imágenes de un videojuego llamado Catherine que encontré en Pinterest, así que quise intentar hacer algo similar y de paso, renovaba mi foto de perfil en algunas de mis cuentas de arte en redes sociales.
Uno de mis fuertes es el retrato, especialmente, si se trata de autorretratos porque tengo práctica dibujando mi propio rostro, así que escogí una foto que me gustara y empecé a bocetar. He empezado a tener la costumbre de colorear el lienzo en algún tono rosa o lila antes de empezar a hacer cualquier linea, no hay una razón importante, solo creo que se ve bonito jajaja.
Cuando terminé con el boceto, pasé al delineado con un pincel pluma, traté jugar con las lineas, destacando especialmente zonas como el mentón, la nariz y los ojos con líneas un poco más gruesas. Cambié el color de fondo a un violeta intenso, ya que es uno de mis colores favoritos durante casi toda mi vida, y luego coloreé de blanco la piel y la blusa para crear contraste.
Sentí la necesidad de añadir más detalles, pero quería mantenerme fiel al estilo que estaba intentando imitar, por lo que, después sombrear parte del cuello, cabello y dobleces en la blusa, detallé los ojos y con el aerógrafo pinté a modo de "rubor" las mejillas y la nariz y le di volumen a los labios.
Luego se me ocurrió algo divertido: diseñar en capas diferentes los típicos filtros de instagram y luego convertir todas las capas en un gif.
