Is it ok to sell your crypto? Because it's not easy.
I have to change my car.
Not because I want to but because i have to. With two kids now in the house and buggies, bags, babies ect....
All needing to move around the place. Unfortunately my lovely fun car that I've had for the past four years is no longer suitable to the needs of a full family.
Even worse it will hit my crypto income as the money has to come from somewhere.
While I have been living from my crypto earnings for the past year it was done by living a very careful and measured life.
There is a phycological barrier towards selling any crypto more than absolutely necessary. I didn't actually need to withdraw much more than €100 most weeks to survive as we were living a very quiet lifestyle throughout covid and pregnancy.
Lots of walking and fresh air.
Opportunity cost.
I think that what hurts isn't the money that goes into the purchase.
It's the potential that money has to earn more money.
THe main reason that I can live from crypto now is that i spend four years building up my stacks and putting them to work. Nowhere has it rang truer than in crypto that money makes money.
With some sites like cub offering 60% returns relatively safely. Any finds that I turn into fiat now are actually going to cost me a lot more than that over the course of the next few years.
That is without the possibility that CUB turns from a 25c token to a ten dollar token like I think that it will. Then withdrawing some now is a real kick in the stones.
That is the mentality that i wake up with every day and it's a hard one to argue with. The only real argument is that the prices could crash and all of this loses 90% of it's value next year. Possible but unlikely.
The other argument is what are we doing it for?
What is the point of putting in all this tome and effort if I don't have anything tangible to show for all of my magic internet money?
Money is there to be spend and enjoyed.
Yes it could be worth a lot more in a year but I could also be dead from a Russian nuke. You can't live your life on maybe's.
I don't enjoy many material things but a nice car is one of my few pleasures that i don't mind spending some money on.
I don't want to zero any of my balances so the best course of action is to skim a little off a few of the better performing crypto's and move it all onto my card for when i pull the trigger.
The only question that remains is how much to spend.
This is a whole different problem.
I love nice cars and fancy cars. I can no longer have a sporty one but that doesn't mean that i want to be a soccer mom.
I don't actually use my car that much anymore now that I'm not technically working so it seems like a waste to spend big money on my next one.
I found one in the local garage today that is perfectly fine. It's 2 years old, clean, spacious, looks nice and could be mine for just a few thousand on top of my own car if i sell privately.
It's so boring...........
I just sat into it and felt bored.
There is nothing wrong with this car at all. It's even got some sports features but it just does nothing for me.
€23,500 and good value for it. I would hope to get about €20K for mine privately or €18 as a trade in.
This is more what I want. The high spec VRS version but it cost about 10K more for the better version.
I'm going to pull out some funds anyway and make a purchase in the next few weeks. The only question is how much crypto i'm willing to sacrifice to do so.
It's hard to let it go.

Dam bro, that blue one is sweet. Sad to let it go, i know the feeling. Had an orange car a few years ago, but now i have an audi S4, 2018. Cost way too much but i love it.
You're doing good bro. Sometimes need a change. Get a good trade in value, and youll be more efficient with the new car. Efficient so you can save up for the next G ride lol
It's been by favourite car to date so it is hard to let it go.
I've had it four years and still love taking it for a spin but that's life i suppose.
I can't bring myself to buy something totally sensible so i'll have to take the hit and sell a little crypto to make the purchase. Fuck it, it's only free internet money anyways.

Good luck with your car purchase. I bought a new car in November, it is both fun and painful, get a new toy, shell out the money!
Can't wait to hear what you get.

Thanks whatsup.
It's always nice to make an upgrade to the old one.
I'll probably take the hit and go for the fancy car anyway.
What did you end up buying?

I sold my 2005 Benz, and I got the boring car, due to current prices and situations. I bought the Benz new and it was the best little car ever.
I got a new Toyota Camry, but I wanted an Audi. I went for practical. I don't know if it was the right decision or not. It's a perfectly nice car, but it does nothing for me. Sigh. To be fair it gets me everywhere I need to go so the rest is just emotional.

Cars are emotional.
We spend a lot of our week inside them so you need to like what you own.
A new Benz does sound nice but I test drove a Camry yesterday and really liked it. It was just a bit mature for me but had a lovely white leather interior and was great to drive. I i didn't have two babies i wouldn't mind buying it. give it five years and i would buy it in a heartbeat.

Good luck with the new car!
I still haven't sold any of my crypto but I'm contemplating it and it's been hard so I know what you mean. But I do agree... if you can't use it to get something that you want or need every now and then, what is the point?

Exactly.
I've been selling slowly to fund my lifestyle as there is no point in continuously grinding to earn more if you don't take some out to enjoy it.
I was here the last time the markets crashed and all that hard work went away very fast. Make the most of it while things are green.

It hurts to take some profits but sometimes you just can't avoid it. I would probably just go for the cheaper version but that would just be me. Cash exists to be used and I never understood the people who save every last penny even when they are rich enough for it not to matter anymore.

This will never be me fortunately. Money is there to be enjoyed so it only the future earning potential of the crypto that i'm careful about.
You cant take it with you when you die so you might as well enjoy it while you live.

Yeah aint that the truth. But I'd never regret paying off my mortage, that's for sure. Hope you find a non boring car that makes you happy that you sold some crypto for it!
absolutely not. That's a great call to make and worth every penny. If you can own a house mortgage free that sets you up very nicely in life.
It takes the pressure off your future decisions and lets you choose your lifestyle. I sold my house last year and now have no bills to my name as well as clearing my car loan with crypto when splinterlands mooned this year.
It's a great feeling to be debt free.

Yeah it wasn't a huge amount to go but enough - amazing how much is in your pocket with no car or house loans! Next step is to sell crytp to get slide on camper for back of our Defender. I think having a bug out vehicle/escape vehicle/camp vehicle is also a good investment!
It's good to earn just from crypto. There's always ample opportunity to make money from crypto. But I know it's never easy to sell, especially it took you ages to stack up !
It's great if you can earn just form crypto.
There are lots of opportunities in this space to make money so we should make the most of it.

You have 2 kids like me.
I think you should choose 5 seats car.
It has more space and you can carry more stuffs :)

Word.
Why not a four door 3 series?
Love the 4 series coupe you currently have. What engine, by the way?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Nice car but too small inside. The boot on this one is actually much bigger than a 3 series. I wouldn't mind a nice 5 series but the prices are crazy right now for them.
Looking at 40k for a decent one.
This is a 2L engine and 215 BHP i think. Fast but not a rocket.

Ha snap
I got rid of my 320i because I couldn't get the baby out of the back. Have an insignia now. I'm very grown up.
