Splinterlands: Riftwatcher Set Complete (Sort of)

In the past, many players like me would struggle to keep track of our Collections and how many BCX were needed to progress our deck of individual cards. I still have spreadsheets in my hard drive trying to keep track of my Alpha cards which to this day remain un maxed for most Commons. Nowadays, a number of third party site do this for us in real time! This is exciting as I was able to quickly review the progress of my Collections after I open my first 1,700 packs of Riftwatchers!

Soon after opening them and consolidating in one account, I headed over to Splintercards which had the Missing BCX tool ready within hours of the release of Riftwatchers. I had heard that it would take about 1,600 packs to max a deck out and I found out that that number was quite accurate as I came to find out that I was only missing one BCX of a Legendary Monster. Without hesitation I went to the market and bought it despite knowing that I would be able to get it in my remaining packs (after getting enough potions again).

However, given the new dynamics of editions as of late, we never truly have a maxed edition deck as the AirDrop cards remain pending. Luckily, given the distribution of guaranteed cards, I will only be missing out of at most 2-3 cards of the last 2 AirDrops when they ultimately arrive as I am not intending on buying more packs as my SPS bag is running low these days. This is not a bad spot as there are always players selling their extras so no concern from me.

One preference of mine is also impacting this as this calculation is measured on regular foils. However, since I am targeting a max Gold Foil deck for Riftwatchers except for Legendaries, my journey continues! I was also strategic in my regular foil cards as I combined them at different levels for all the Divisions in order to place them on the rental market for some incomes. I found that the combining sync very well to potentially max them out some day if needed. I would imagine that was the intention of developers to incentivize combining to max at a certain point.

I am definitely happy I got to a max deck early on as I recall getting a late start at Dice since I did not want to spend my DEC on packs. I ended buying those cards at max from a Collector which also worked out well in the end but did miss out on a potential expanded Collection for rentals and the future workers of my land. Going gold is exciting but can get expensive rather quickly; especially this Edition where Summoners are Epic! Can’t wait to open my remaining packs to see where I land for Gold Foils!
