My ideal age.

I don't think there is an ideal age but if I had to pick one it would have been in my middle 40s. It was when I finally I settled down and started doing the family thing and bought a house. It was a long difficult slog, working hard, paying the house off and raising a child while still trying to find the time to fit in some fun. It is not me on the skate ramp but I did build it for my son and his mates in your back yard. At this time I just seemed to be able to get the most done, with working full time, doing all the family stuff, coaching my sons football teams and still played in my own age group teams myself.

Then I was teenager I felt invincible, I worked two jobs and ran 4 marathons in one year but it was probably not my idea age as I was young and not that experienced at life.

As a young man I completed my apprentice worked and in a ski resort before driving around Australian and then back packing a while overseas.

It surprised me but even after I finished my apprenticeship it still took another 10 years to really get enough experience to be a really good tradesman. I can not remember what this machine was now but it was some sort of mining equipment where I had to wire up the motor and control panel.

Nowadays I feel I am getting a bit old and have a few more aches and pains that seems to slow me down a bit from when I was in my prime but it is still good seeing my son all grown up and having a bit more time to my self again.
