Continuamos compartiendo ilustraciones sobre el universo de Dragon Ball, la obra mas grande de Akira Toriyama en esta ocasión decidí traerles una ilustración de Bulma un personaje super importante en cada aventura de este mundo. Ciertamente con los años sus interacciones se fueron apagando un poco, debido a que el factor aventura y búsqueda ya no era el tema principal donde ella destacaba en la primera saga. Ella es uno de los personajes más fascinantes para mi ya que no es la típica niña linda débil e inocente,al contrario, nos presentaron a una Bulma que a pesar de ser muy hermosa es una mujer inquisitiva, inventora, aventurera y ruda.

Como mencioné, esta dinámica se apreció mucho en la saga Dragón Ball donde Bulma era capaz de inventar cualquier tipo de aparato, manejar armas y todo tipo de vehículos, a pesar de sus muchos miedos le hacia frente a muchas situaciones con muchas agallas y lograba ser parte del equipo. En los pósters creados por Toriyama los de Bulma con la energía de Lara Croft o Amelia Earthar son mis favoritos.

We continue sharing illustrations about the Dragon Ball universe, the greatest work of Akira Toriyama. On this occasion I decided to bring you an illustration of Bulma, a super important character in every adventure in this world. Certainly over the years their interactions faded a little, because the adventure and search factor was no longer the main theme where she stood out in the first saga. She is one of the most fascinating characters for me since she is not the typical weak and innocent pretty girl, on the contrary, we were introduced to Bulma who, despite being very beautiful, is an inquisitive, inventive, adventurous and strong woman.

As I mentioned, this dynamic was greatly appreciated in the Dragon Ball saga where Bulma was capable of inventing any type of device, handling weapons and all types of vehicles, despite her many fears, she faced many situations with many guts and managed to be part of the team. In the posters created by Toriyama those of Bulma with the energy of Lara Croft or Amelia Earthar are my favorites.

Esta imagen en particular muestra lo que intento decir sobre este bello personaje. Bulma estuvo en la búsqueda de las esferas y con su conocimiento e investigación descubrió que dichas esferas liberan energía electromagnética y se baso en ello para crear el icónico radar del dragón.

Y es por eso que esos primeros años de Dragón Ball me gustaron tanto, ya que no todo estaba regido por lo místico o lo sobrehumano cargado de poderes y Dioses, si no que también esas aventuras lograban salir adelante gracias a el talento, audacia y muchas habilidades humanas como las de Bulma.

This particular image shows what I'm trying to say about this beautiful character. Bulma was in search of the spheres and with her knowledge and research she discovered that these spheres release electromagnetic energy and based on this to create the iconic dragon radar.

And that is why I liked those first years of Dragon Ball so much, since not everything was governed by the mystical or the superhuman loaded with powers and Gods, but those adventures also managed to succeed thanks to talent. , boldness and many human abilities like Bulma's.

Para crear esta ilustración decidí mantener tonos sepia, quizás algunos detalles para darle contraste, como su cabello de color característico, tuve algunas dificultades ya que decidí no hacerlo tan grande lo que me llevó a sufrir con la cantidad de detalles que la imagen tiene.

To create this illustration I decided to keep sepia tones, perhaps some details to give it contrast, like her characteristic colored hair, I had some difficulties since I decided not to make it so big which led me to suffer with the amount of details that the image has.

Principalmente hice un boceto principal del personaje utilizando un portaminas HB para que los trazos no fueran tan oscuros al momento de borrar alguna imperfección, algo que en mi caso siempre ocurre. Luego procedí a realizar el delineado, el cual logré con un bolígrafo tinta negra, pude haberlo hecho con algun tipo de marcador pero, el bolígrafo da un trazo mas fino y su tinta no se esparce lo que hace que los detalles sean más claros.

I mainly made a main sketch of the character using an HB mechanical pencil so that the lines would not be so dark when erasing any imperfections, something that always happens in my case. Then I proceeded to make the outline, which I achieved with a black ink pen. I could have done it with some marker dye, but the pen gives a finer line and its ink does not spread, which makes the details clearer.

Luego del delineado vino el reto de coloreado y digo que fue un reto porque es el momento que todo puede pasar y no quedar del todo bien la combinación, hice algunos ensayos antes con los rotuladores para evitar inconvenientes. La capa principal de los colores lo hice con rotuladores, seguidamente volví a repasar los lugares donde van las sombras para darle un tono mas obscuro, luego decidí con un lápiz 2B oscurecer más. Para dar brillo decidí trabajar con un color blanco lo que le dió mas volumen y suavidad. Para finalizar agregue achurados en cada sombra y volví a delinear para darle mas fuerza y como toque final le di un contorno color turquesa, algo que me encantó como quedó. After the outlining came the coloring challenge and I say that it was a challenge because it is the moment when anything can happen and the combination may not look quite right, I did some tests before with the markers to avoid inconveniences. I did the main layer of colors with markers, then I went over the places where the shadows go again to give it a darker tone, then I decided to darken more with a 2B pencil. To add shine I decided to work with a white color which gave it more volume and softness. To finish, I added dashes to each shadow and outlined again to give it more strength and as a final touch I gave it a turquoise outline, something that I loved how it turned out.
