Hello to all hivers friends, today in the afternoon where I live there has been a lot of cloudy weather, it looked like it was going to rain. A while ago a beautiful, wide, splendorous rainbow formed in the sky. When I was watching it I remembered that when I was a child I used to ask every time I saw a rainbow how such beautiful colors were formed, and I was always told that it was a competition between the colors, and that they were fighting to see which one was the most beautiful.

That each color had its purpose and that each one represented laughter, hope, health, the sea, peace, danger, silence, and that the rain always separated them from the fight and made them see that they were all important. The rain was responsible for uniting them, telling them to join hands with her and accompany her. They also told me that when the rain united them and the rainbow appeared it did not rain. And the most interesting part of the story was that if I found the end of the rainbow I would find a pot full of gold.

Many times when I would go on a trip with my aunt and see one of those beauties in the sky, I would go all the way with my eyes, I would be able to get to the destination and never get to the end of the rainbow, to see that big pot full of gold.

I still hear my mom say on numerous occasions when she sees a rainbow "oh it's not going to rain, the rainbow is already out". I really get to thinking and I don't know if it's true, that after it comes out it doesn't rain, I imagine that it doesn't. My children when they were younger, I used to say to them, "Oh it's not going to rain.

When my children were younger, they asked me the same question and I told them the same story. I did it because I found the fantasy of living that hope of someday finding that pot of gold enjoyable.

Before the pandemic I used to travel constantly, from my city to the city where my mother lives, usually on weekends. It was very exciting during those two hours, the kids were competing to see which one of us would find the pot of gold first. It's so great the innocence of a child. We all went through something similar at some point in our lives.

El arcoíris y la vasija de oro en su final

Hola a todos los hivers amigos, hoy en la tarde por donde vivo ha habido mucho tiempo nublado, pareciera que fuese a llover. Hace un rato se formó en el cielo un arcoíris hermoso, ancho, esplendoroso. Cuando lo estaba observando recordé que cuando era niña preguntaba cada vez que veía un arcoíris como se formaban tan hermosos colores, y siempre me decían que era una competencia que había entre los colores, y que se peleaban por ver cuál era el más bonito.

Que cada color tenía su propósito y que cada uno representaba la risa, la esperanza, la salud, el mar, la paz, el peligro, el silencio, y que la lluvia siempre los separaba de la pelea y les hacía ver que todos eran importantes. La lluvia era la responsable de unirlos, les decía que unieran sus manos con ella y la acompañaran. También me contaban que cuando la lluvia los unía y el arcoíris aparecía no llovía. Y lo más interesante de la historia era que si llegaba a encontrar el final del arcoíris me iba a encontrar una olla llena de oro.

Muchas veces cuando yo iba de viaje con mi tía y observaba alguna belleza de esas en el cielo, recorría con la vista todo el camino, era capaz de llegar al destino y nunca conseguía ese final de colores, para ver esa gran olla llena de oro.

Todavía escucho a mi mama decir en numerosas ocasiones cuando ve un arcoíris “ay no va a llover ya salió el arcoíris”. Realmente me pongo a pensar y no sé si es verdad, que después que sale no llueve, me imagino que no es así.

Mis hijos cuando estaban más pequeños, me hacían la misma pregunta y yo les contaba la misma historia. Lo hacía porque me parecía agradable la fantasía de vivir esa esperanza de algún día encontrar esa olla de oro.

Antes de la pandemia yo viajaba constantemente, de mi ciudad a la ciudad donde vive mi madre, por lo general hacía eso los fines de semana. Era muy emocionante durante toda esas dos horas, los niños iban compitiendo para ver cuál de los dos encontraba primero la olla de oro. Es demasiado grandioso la inocencia de un niño. Todos en algún momento de nuestras vidas pasamos por algo parecido.
