Entre las ciudades: Ciudad Bolivar donde yo vivo y Ciudad Orinoco que antes se llamaba Soledad, nos separa el rio Padre, el rio Orinoco, mi ciudad pertenece a el estado Bolivar, la otra ciudad es del estado Anzoategui, pero por estar mas cerca de la mia pareciera que fuera de mi estado.
Desde que yo recuerde, por lo que he escuchado, quienes vienen del otro lado del rio o los que quieren ir para alla hay dos medios: por tierra por el Puente Angostura en carritos, autobuses, pero esta el otro medio que es por el rio en lanchitas, que es mas orto, ya cada quien escoge como ir o venir.
Aun no tenido la oportunidad de pasar en las lanchitas, me da como miedo, mas cuando el rio esta crecido como ahora, que la playa desaparece bajos las aguas del rio, que a veces se ha desbordado no por aqui sino por otras partes.
Estas lanchas llegan y salen del Puerto de las Lanchitas, viajan niños, personas, que estudian, trabajan o que vienen a hacer alguna diligencia en mi ciudad, asi como tambien hay personas que trabajan del otro lado del rio.
