Travel to Lumbung Temple in Central Java Province, Indonesia. The temple has reliefs about men and women from the 9th century
Hi Hivers! How are you? I wish you all the best, today is Sunday, a perfect day for a vacation, so this morning I decided to go on a trip to Lumbung Temple, the temple is a temple located in the Klaten sub-district in Central Java. To get to this temple, I took the 15 km route to the west from Jl. Raua Yogyakarta to Magelang. This Lumbung Temple tour is open every day starting from Monday to Sunday from 08:00 AM to 17:05 WIB.
Traveling to this temple is very exciting, here there are a lot of histories about the past, plus the atmosphere of each area in Klaten. How is the history of Lumbung Temple?
I had a chat with the guards of this Lumbung Temple, they said that this temple was built in the 9th century to the 10th century during the Mataram kingdom. The building that is on the roof of the temple has a stengan shape, it is also called a stupa. So this is clear evidence that this Lumbung temple has a Buddhist background. As for the founder of the Lumbung temple, the temple guard said it was not certain who, some said that the founder of the Lumbung temple was the same as the founder of the Sewu temple.
There are 16 perwara temples that surround this Lumbung Temple. The main temple of Lumbung Temple has collapsed due to the earthquake in 2006, the body of the temple which stands proudly on a rock has a height of about 2.5 m. To be able to enter here, tourists can use the stairs of the temple which is on the east. Then on the outer wall I also saw reliefs similar to that of men and women of the same size.
Traveling to Lumbung Temple is a fun thing, the photo spots that we can see from this temple are also diverse, no wonder it has become a favorite tourist spot for the people of Central Java and foreign tourists, this is reinforced by the proximity of other temples around Lumbung Temple.
Thank you for visiting my post today, hopefully it will be useful for all of you!

The details on the rock seem to fade away, shame. And do I see new rocks in some places? Has it been restored at any time?
I don't know for sure, but it could just be cleaned if it's mossy. Thank you ma'am🙏🏻
