AskLEO : Should I buy SHIB ?

This post is an attempt to experiment with the idea of combining Microblogging and AskLEO to empower Hive community growth. I appreciate everyone who provided valuable feedback for yesterday's post regarding this.

So let me start... I'm not making this question up and I'm seriously considering buying some $SHIB sometime soon and I haven't decided when though.

A : Like most people, I do think, it can still 50X from today's price. There is lots of money to be made in crypto and why not me! And I should have got in early!!!

Shib crushed almost every analyst’s prediction being up millions of percent in this year alone. But we’re just getting started, and have a long road of success paved by the great mind of Ryoshi and the drive of the ShibArmy.

B : $SHIB is already on Coinbase and that's any indication, it's legit.

C : While I was browsing their website, I came across an article on Medium(Hopefully they will choose medium over Hive.blog) and the following message about sovereign entity & decentralized force are quite resonated with me

D : “Shib token won’t die”. Same things that they said about Bitcoin. Is “Ryoshi” is the Satoshi 2.0 ?

E : My final reason is I'm willing to risk some money for massive long term upside potential and I secretly wish ShibArmy will help our decentralized Hive community sometime in the near future.

Yes but I think for trading only. I think there is so much liquidity on this coin that trading is the only way to see it. The dips will be massive as many are retail investors coming up against seasoned veterans who will pump and dump it.

I think if you trade in and out on the dips that are bound to happen regularly you could end up with 10 x what you would have had by just holding. his is one coin that wont follow the market exactly and pumps will happen with some dumping. I have looked at it and may buy some to trade once this pump comes back to where it was.

Can it pump higher? I don't know but if it should pump way higher the end is closer :)

Hive needs a way to build tokens exchanges can list. I would start to invest in some projects too, would it not be a technical disaster to get them on exchanges.

Well I don't think i would bother joining it. It just doesn't fit my plan to put it into meme coins. Could it go higher? Yes it could but I have a feeling that it is more likely to lose money. Maybe it's because I lost some money on penny stocks before but I think I'll sit Shiba out.

Well it's more like just holding some of these penny stocks after they drop was never a good idea. So from my point of view, SHIBA's risk reward isn't that great.

Can it go up and make me money? Yes it can

What are the chances I will make money versus lose money? Very likely to lose money since it isn't backed by fundamentals or solid plans.

So in a way, I can't justify myself jumping into meme coins for those reasons.

J have already invested in DogeCoin and I am not willing to risk on any other meme coin. But if you have spare money then you can definitely but some SHIB because you never know when it will become moon.

Buying the top is always risky. I’m 100% certain that shib will drop. Till then I will keep on monitoring it.

A little advice is if you plan to hodl for a long time, you can buy now. DYOR though

There is nothing wrong with owing some SHIB. Personally, however, since I lack the time to trade, I prefer to just hodl other coins with more specific purposes

Yes, of course, not a long term but if you want to earn a good profit then this is really a good one the return is really good it did get 10x returns in a few months and I hope it will pump more by the end of the month and the good things is that the daily breaking its ATH, this is good 🤩💰💰

Money is only a tool. It will take you wherever you wish, but it will not replace you as the driver.

If Shiba goes 10x from here it'll flip #Eth, so I don't quite think it'll happen anytime soon.

The fact that they have literally nothing to offer beside hype speaks for itself.

I'm not being salty but am aware of how it'll end up.
Stick up to what you know, don't get caught by hype or fomo.

I don't think even Elon can control the spirit of SHIBArmy because these people are on a mission.

Something is pulling me towards SHIB and I really don't know what. lol

I guess I'm gonna take a little chance with long-term plan and detach myself from any outcome and try to learn only the good things from the SHIB community.

I have some $shib and bought when it launched on Binance, so far profit but I am holding 50% for long term. Their marketing strategy and community are strong in my opinion. I am not buying now but I will buy some more in the near future.

Hiya, @nathanmars :) I had some Shib and sold it, like a fool, before this latest spike to get into things like FET, AXS, AVAX. But, now, your post has be reconsidering... My only concern is how fickle it is (like Dogecoin) and how it could all crash and disappear. (Then, again, these coins for the people do have a fairly strong following/community support!

Hah, I had to do my own research to find out the meaning of DYOR :P

Yes, trying to be informed about my investments and not play with more than I can afford to lose.

Apart from Bitcoin, so far, my biggest gains have been in ETH, ADA, LINK and, of course, good 'ole HIVE :) Wishing you success in what matters to you, Nathan ✌️

Some friends I've known for years have always asked me questions about crypto, and always told me it just seems too risky and too hard to learn.

Now many of these same friends bought SHIB because of the mainstream hype, doing zero research, and now all of a sudden they are calling me and giving me crypto advice. From noob to expert in a week, SHIB is definitely in the zeitgeist of now.
