Está película puede ser considerada como un drama, comedia o simplemente una comedia romántica y relata la vida de "Andrew" un hombre joven de 22 años de edad que acaba de terminar la universidad y que todavía no sabe que hacer con su vida; él tiene un plan el cual es mantener un mal trabajo para reunir lo suficiente e irse a Barcelona, España para estar junto a su novia aunque las expectativas de lograr este plan son pocas, pero el destino es algo que no podemos controlar y en un momento mientras se divierte en una fiesta conocerá a una mujer que le hará sentir y descubrir quien en realidad es.

This movie can be considered as a drama, comedy or simply a romantic comedy and tells the life of "Andrew" a young man of 22 years old who just finished college and still does not know what to do with his life; he has a plan which is to keep a bad job to gather enough money to go to Barcelona, Spain to be with his girlfriend although the expectations of achieving this plan are few, but fate is something we can not control and at one point while having fun at a party he will meet a woman who will make him feel and discover who he really is.

Hace semanas estaba enfocado en ver producciones, más que nada series de TV, en dónde los actores protagonistas también cumplen la función de guionistas y directores; me parece genial que alguien pueda tener una visión de una historia y que pueda controlarla por completo, cosa que algunas veces es difícil cuando se tiene muy de cerca a ciertos productores que justamente quieren ser más que eso; en esta película no su sucederá que exista productores que se entrometan en otras funciones porque Cooper Raiff es protagonista, productor (uno de ellos), guionista y director; este proyecto es completamente de él, seguramente escrito desde su experiencia de vida y enfocado en una generación que él representa, ya que como lo es el personaje principal de esta historia, con tan solo 25 años de edad puede contar con este proyecto, uno anterior y hasta dos más próximos a estrenarse. Raiff dirige un film pequeño, esto es claramente evidente, porque muchos de los escenarios son repetitivos y tampoco existe tomas con una fotografía excelente y es que más que nada está historia tiene una sensación de ser muy personal en dónde cada personaje debe tener diálogos frente a frente, conversaciones que profundizan en los sentimientos de cada uno de ellos y tal vez por eso no había necesidad de realizar otro tipo de tomas, sino darle justamente una perspectiva muy personal al público que vea este film; pienso que la manera de dirigir está película es la perfecta porque Raiff, hace que su personaje se nutre mucho en cada escena que comparte con los demás actores y eso lo hace ver para nada como alguien egoísta.

Weeks ago I was focused on watching productions, mostly TV series, where the main actors also play the role of writers and directors; I think it's great that someone can have a vision of a story and can control it completely, something that sometimes is difficult when you are very close to certain producers who just want to be more than that; in this film there will be no producers meddling in other functions because Cooper Raiff is the protagonist, producer (one of them), screenwriter and director; this project is completely his, surely written from his life experience and focused on a generation that he represents, because as the main character of this story, with only 25 years old he can count on this project, one previous one and even two more to be released soon. Raiff directs a small film, this is clearly evident, because many of the scenarios are repetitive and there are no shots with excellent photography and is that more than anything this story has a feeling of being very personal where each character must have dialogues face to face, conversations that deepen the feelings of each of them and perhaps that is why there was no need to make other types of shots, but just give a very personal perspective to the audience who sees this film; I think that the way of directing this film is perfect because Raiff, makes his character nurtures a lot in every scene he shares with the other actors and that makes him look at all as someone selfish.

La historia es lo que sin ninguna duda llama más la atención; por momentos tuve la sensación de estar viendo un "Coming-of-Age", pero después supe que es más que nada el relato que puede sentir muchos jóvenes al todavía no sentir cuál es su propósito cuando deben enfrentar la adultez; esta película es un claro relato de una lucha de por fin dejar de ser adolescentes para comenzar a ser adultos y es que eso es lo que le sucede a Andrew cómo a otros personajes más en esta historia; me gusta que de alguna forma desde un principio no relacionen de una manera directa a la depresión que pueden sentir jóvenes a tener que empezar a tomar decisiones que podrán definir su futuro y que al tener ese temor al fracaso y rechazo se les hace muy difícil dejar una zona de confort y hasta les hace crear un sistema defensivo (por así decirlo) en dónde se puede crear cualquier excusa para mantener una vida simple sin ningún futuro que se le hace fácil juzgar a personas que no saben en realidad el problema que hace que estás personas vivan de esta manera; todo lo antes descrito se percibe viendo la historia creada por Raiff, el cual considero un buen guion, muy inteligente porque representa las necesidades de mostrar sentimientos, necesidades, fallos que hacen que exista un estancamiento y que se haga difícil de avanzar y crecer.

The story is what undoubtedly attracts the most attention; at times I had the feeling of watching a "Coming-of-Age", but then I knew that it is more than anything the story that many young people can feel when they still do not feel what their purpose is when they must face adulthood; this film is a clear account of a struggle to finally stop being teenagers to start being adults and that is what happens to Andrew as to other characters in this story; I like that somehow from the beginning they do not relate in a direct way to the depression that young people can feel when they have to start making decisions that may define their future and that having that fear of failure and rejection makes it very difficult to leave a comfort zone and even makes them create a defensive system (so to speak) where you can create any excuse to maintain a simple life without any future that is easy to judge people who do not really know the problem that makes these people live this way; All of the above is perceived by watching the story created by Raiff, which I consider a good script, very intelligent because it represents the needs to show feelings, needs, failures that make stagnation and make it difficult to move forward and grow.

Las actuaciones tanto de Raiff cómo de Dakota Johnson son muy buenas; ellos dos como los principales protagonistas lideran a los demás actores de esta producción que también tienen un trabajo correcto. Cooper representa muy bien a alguien quien no está preparado para ser adulto y es que el miedo al rechazo o a fallar hace que mantenga esa sensación de estar siempre a salvo a pesar de que para los demás vean como está perdiendo el tiempo de lograr algo mejor, pero lo que más me gustó de su actuación es que puede demostrar que la persona más feliz puede estar completamente quebrada por dentro, que la depresión hace crear barreras que evitan que los demás tenga la noción de cuál es tu estado mental; sobre el personaje interpretado por Dakota el cual se llama "Domino", ella es una mujer que se convirtió en madre a muy temprana edad, no pudo disfrutar sus 20 y su nueva responsabilidad como también el rechazo o abandono la convirtió en alguien que no sabe como enfrentar nuevas responsabilidades como es el compromiso; Dakota es una hermosa mujer y eso ayuda a su personaje al crear un gran impacto en Andrew, pero su interpretación es importante porque a pesar de reflejar perfección, sirve de ejemplo para demostrar que cada quien puede tener problemas que podrán afectar sus vidas; entre ambos actores muestran muy buena química en cada escena que comparten.

The performances of both Raiff and Dakota Johnson are very good; the two of them as the main protagonists lead the other actors in this production who also have a good job. Cooper represents very well someone who is not ready to be an adult and the fear of rejection or failure makes him keep that feeling of being always safe even though others see him as wasting time to achieve something better, but what I liked most about his performance is that he can show that the happiest person can be completely broken inside, that depression creates barriers that prevent others from having the notion of what your mental state is; about the character played by Dakota which is called "Domino", she is a woman who became a mother at a very young age, she could not enjoy her 20's and her new responsibility as well as rejection or abandonment turned her into someone who does not know how to face new responsibilities such as commitment; Dakota is a beautiful woman and that helps her character by creating a great impact on Andrew, but her interpretation is important because despite reflecting perfection, it serves as an example to show that everyone can have problems that may affect their lives; between both actors they show very good chemistry in every scene they share.

Hace días atrás realice la reseña del último film de Adam Sandler para Netflix y pensaba que era una historia sumamente positiva y motivadora en dónde el tema principal es aprovechar las segundas oportunidades; ahora con Cha Cha Real Smooth puedo decir que es también un film positivo, realista, conmovedor en dónde su tema principal es enfrentar los medios o lo que nos puede causar centrarnos en una zona de calma, en un lugar donde no podamos tener ningún daño y eso está completamente mal porque nos privamos de vivir diferentes experiencias, no tanto lo llamado "El Mundo Adulto", sino poder demostrar lo capaces que somos sea tomando decisiones malas o buenas, justamente aprender de cada decisión que nos haga crecer y porque no, hasta ser mejores. Esta película me sorprendió mucho, me divertí con sus elocuentes, inteligentes y divertidos diálogos, cada personaje es sumamente importante y suman mucho a la historia de este joven que sin decirlo, necesita descubrir quien es; si tienen la oportunidad y quieren salir justamente del confort de ver las mismas películas de siempre, recomiendo ver este nuevo film y también chequear los diferentes festivales porque seguramente podemos encontrarnos con buenas producciones.

A few days ago I reviewed Adam Sandler's latest film for Netflix and I thought it was a very positive and motivational story where the main theme is to take advantage of second chances; now with Cha Cha Real Smooth I can say that it is also a positive, realistic, touching film where its main theme is to face the means or what can cause us to focus on a zone of calm, in a place where we can not have any damage and that is completely wrong because we deprive ourselves to live different experiences, not so much what is called "The Adult World", but to demonstrate how capable we are either making bad or good decisions, just to learn from each decision that makes us grow and why not, even be better. This film surprised me a lot, I had fun with its eloquent, intelligent and funny dialogues, each character is extremely important and adds a lot to the story of this young man who, without saying it, needs to discover who he is; if you have the opportunity and want to get out of the comfort of watching the same old movies, I recommend watching this new film and also check the different festivals because surely we can find good productions.
