Hello everyone, I hope you are well. Today I come to show you a little more about this wonderful garden that I visited in Ponta Delgada in the Açores 🙂 The Açores are so beautiful.

Upon entering this garden, the visitor is immediately captivated by the diversity of vegetation, but it is the animal life that really brings this garden to life. The local fauna is as varied as its flora, with countless species of birds, insects and small mammals that find refuge in the trees and bushes that José do Canto brought from different parts of the world.

Birds are the most notable inhabitants of this garden. the garden is a paradise, it has several species of birds that attract enthusiasts from all over the world. Among the resident birds, the Azores tent, a subspecies of the islands, stands out.

It serves as a resting point for migratory birds. During the spring and autumn months, some species can be seen resting and refueling before continuing their long migratory journeys. Tall trees and dense shrubs provide ideal nesting sites, while abundant food sources like insects and berries ensure these birds find everything they need to thrive.

Among the most charming inhabitants of this garden are the chickens and peacocks. The chickens with their colorful legs and curious behavior can be seen roaming freely around the garden. They help control insects and detect an interesting spectacle for visitors, especially children ☺️
