Costa Nova - Portugal

Hello everyone, hope you are well 😊 My boyfriend and I came to Aveiro for the weekend, today we went for a walk to Costa Nova and I'm going to show you a little of what we saw. Hope you like it 😊

Costa Nova is well known for its wooden haystacks, painted with stripes of strong colors alternating with white.

Also known for having a very rough sea, which brings many surfers to ca. Costa Nova beach has a huge walkway for those who like to go for walks. Today, my boyfriend and I spend the whole afternoon taking pictures and always walking

The striped houses are in front of the Aveiro estuary. These houses are chosen by many tourists to come and spend a beautiful vacation. I highly advise you to visit Costa Nova. It's beautiful!!!

There are also many restaurants, mostly seafood restaurants. Costa Nova do Prado emerged in the middle of the 21st century to distinguish this new fishing area from the old one.

The inauguration of the Aveiro bar was in 1808, it was closed for a century

It is said that in the mid-21st century there was a casino and cinema here, as you can see a very lively area 😊

The fishermen here went out to sea, built houses to store their fishing materials and also served to store the fish they caught and make a kind of fish market

The colorful houses were used by fishermen as I told you, but now they are used by tourists, especially in the hottest season, to spend a beautiful holiday with an enchanting landscape.

Close to Costa Nova, where my boyfriend and I didn't have time to go there today, but we've been there a while ago, you can visit the beaches of wandereira or the beach of Mira where you can watch Xavega art. the Xavega art is a very old art of fishing, carried out by hand and in which the fishing nets are pulled by yokes of oxen.
And you can also visit the fish market, which also exists today but in a more modern way.

Visit Costa Nova, it's really worth it ❤️ I'm in love, I come here often. It's only an hour from my house 😊 My boyfriend and I took a vacation day on Friday because he had his birthday and so we chose to come here for the weekend as it is one of the most beautiful places close to us, as we were only going to spend a weekend we thought we wouldn't go much far away 😊
