Dagger butterfly | Marpesia zerynthia [Eng/Esp]

Greetings friends of the community, I hope you are well. On one of my little adventures to my backyard, I came across this little butterfly, clearly I couldn't pass up the opportunity to take some pictures of it. If you happened to see my post with the pictures of the green masked jumping spider, curiously they were taken the same day of both the butterfly and the spider.

Saludos amigos de la comunidad, espero se encuentren bien. En una de mis pequeñas aventuras al patio de mi casa, me encontré con esta pequeña mariposa, claramente no podía dejar pasar la oportunidad de hacerle algunas fotografías. Si llegaron a ver mi publicación con las fotografías de la araña saltadora de mascara verde, curiosamente fueron tomadas el mismo día tanto ésta de la mariposa como de la araña.

This little friend is a dagger butterfly that, although it can have different colors on its wings, what really characterizes it is the singularity of the lower part of its wings, which resembles small daggers and that is where its name comes from.

Ésta pequeña amiga es una mariposa daga que, aunque puede tener distintos colores en sus alas lo que realmente las caracteriza es la singularidad en la parte baja de sus alas, la cual asemeja a unas pequeñas dagas y de ahí es que nace su nombre.
