🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸

Potato is a vegetable which is loved by all kids and adults....there are many ways to make this delicious vegetable. We can make potato curry, dry potato, by boiling and so many more. With dal, chapti, rice it tastes fabulous. I am also a big fan of potato vegetable since childhood. Earlier I could eat potatoes every day....And you will find a die hard fan of potato in every house in India.

This is the quick side dish, which we can make easily with few ingredients. And potato is one such vegetable which forms a great combination with many other vegetables. If there are only potatoes at home then there is no tension about eating. Today I would like to share with you the recipe for dry masala aloo ki sabji...Which tastes very yummy with rice dal .

Now let's jump to the recipe 😋 :

INGREDIENTS ✅

  • Potato 4
  • Green chilli 1-2
  • Oil 1 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Hing
  • Ginger optional
  • Salt to taste
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Red chilli powder 1-1.5 tbsp ( as per your taste)
  • Coriander powder 2 tbsp
  • Garam masala 1/2 tsp
  • Dry mango powder 1 tsp

PROCESS ✅

Step 1 :

First take the potato, peel the skin off and cut into pieces. You can select your size...i always cut it thin because i like to bit overcooked Potato 😅.

Cut all potatoes like this and wash all well and than leave it in the water for 5 minutes or till oil turns hot.

Step 2 :

Now take a deep kadai or non-stick pan which is more suitable for this....heat oil in it . Add cumin seeds, mustard seeds and hing in it. When seeds start to crackle add chopped potato cubes. If you want to add garlic or onion add them first. Give it a quick mix.

Now add salt and turmeric powder, mix it.. see the yellow coating on the all pieces. Cover it and cook for 3-4 minutes on the low flame. Stir occasionally.

Step 3 :

When potato start to cook first add chopped green chilli and than add all spices like this. Don't mix it, cover it with a plate, and put water on the plate. Due to which your vegetables and spices do not burn.

After 1-2 minutes mix all things, add garam masala and dry mango powder and again cook for 1 minutes.

Look dry masala potato Is ready to enjoy. I overcooked it a bit because i love this. you can cook it a little less.

This is a yummiest side dish which you can enjoy with any other curry, dal or chapati.

You can also enjoy it with dal, rice and onion. Last evening i enjoyed this combination which is a heaven for me 😜😋. Just mix all together and enjoyed it 😀.

What do you like to eat the most with potatoes? And have you ever tried this recipe? Try it soon and enjoy with your loved ones 😌.

that looks great, and I really need to give it a try.

and I cant believe I'd never heard of Hing! so much easier to say than asafoetida, which I do use. Think I'll be using the new, easier, name from now on
