Sweden and Finland plans to join NATO..what's next ??

I was reading a current report which said that The chief of NATO have confirmed that Finland and Sweden are making plans to join NATO and the membership could happen sooner than expected..

So according to General jens stoltenberg who happened to be the NATO secretary General , He said that if those two countries decides to apply to become a member of NATO , that they will warmly welcome them and that the process will go quickly..

Now it is expected that the application to become a NATO member might happen in the month of May , and it seems that alot of swedes and Finns are really in support of these two counties joining the military alliance...

So what happens next to Sweden and finland ?? Will Russia try to attack them too if these two countries finally joins NATO ?? What could be the consequences on the current war happening between Russia and Ukraine??I want to hear you guys opinion concerning these development...
