My Entry Monomad Challenge #369 ~The enjoying of Children in the Rice Fields, Removing Gadgets and Playing in the Wild

The world of children is the world of play. Wherever they are, they always find a way to have fun. Recently, my family and I returned to my parents' hometown. As usual, every Sunday I always make time to go home to my village.

This time, I brought my wife and two children. They were very happy when I invited them back to the village. Because, there they can play together with their cousins. Yes, I deliberately took them to the village so they could spend their time playing in nature, instead of being busy playing with gadgets. This is one of my ways to prevent them from getting addicted to playing with gadgets. They really enjoy playing there.

At that time, coincidentally it was rice harvest season in the village. So, children can play there freely. The straw remaining from the rice stalks became a playground for children in the rice fields at that time. I let them play as much as they want, even though I know the hay will make them itchy. However, because they really enjoyed playing, I just let it go. Besides, I can bathe them after they play.

Seeing them playing happily on a pile of hay reminded me of my childhood. I also really liked playing in the rice fields that had been harvested at that time. So, I really understand their happiness.
