Orchid: The Flower I Love Most
Orchid is a diverse & widespread family. We could easily distinguish an Orchid from other plants due to the flower and its construction of it. There are hundreds of kinds with good fragments and without but, each of them would attract you with the colors of them.
There is a big Tamarind Tree close to my home in the village. One day I was visiting nearby and suddenly my wife said isn’t that a branch of Orchid flower I’m seeing hanging in that big tree? I was looking at that as well and said yes! She promptly replied can’t we have them at our home? I said who will bring them down from the thin branch? She said still, again can’t we have them?
I had no clue how to bring those plants down! After a few months, there was a Tornado called Bulbul and the huge Tamarind tree even couldn’t stand tall but bent. I got lucky and found help to bring a bunch of these Orchid plants down and carry to home.
This is the short story of the Foxtail Orchid I have at our home!
I have not placed this one under any shade but on my roof and found not much difference yet! Let’s if there is any difference between this one and the three more, I have placed under the shade of the roof! I would be able to provide feedback same time next year.
I do love to watch them blooming and fortunately both years I was at my home & the plant having full of flowers!
Do you know about the uses of Orchids for medicinal purposes? The Chinese use it in the form of Medicinal Tea which is believed to possess medicinal properties that could help to treat cancer, improve eyesight also, could strengthen the immune system!
