Alutila is renowned for more than a 100-meter long cave formed inside the 1000-meter tall Arbari Hill. Luckily, you do not need to hike up to the hill to explore as the main road goes through the top of the hills. The deep green forest in the cave area will amaze you.
While I was entering the cave for the second time in my life and I felt the same thrill but many plastic bottles in and out of the cave made me sad!

The cave is dark inside so you need torches to explore, previously local people used to sell flambeaux but fortunately it is stopped now, and hopefully they will stop allowing any food or plastic/one-time bottle in the cave.

The cave is unique for the country Bangladesh and authority should take good care of the cave. During peak time, thousands of tourists travel in the cave but I have not found any guideline or notice regarding environmental pollution.

It would take around 15 minutes to go in and make your way out but first you have to climb down more the 250 stairs and about 100 climbing up the stairs. I would suggest not hurrying just to cross the cave but take your time and enjoy the inner beauty of hundreds of years old cave.

Ceiling of the cave goes up to 25 feet some point and in the mid of the cave it comes down to 5 feet and you need to bend yourself down to cross a few steps, it ends quickly and you would able to stand soon properly. I would suggest you visit the cave during the off-peak time and if it were rain then you would find more water beneath your feet.
Try to spend 30 minutes in the cave and explore the hundreds of years old wall and ceiling of the cave.

Wet, dark and slippery environment will definitely be a must-go destination for adventure lovers. A headlight or torch would be recommended to get the best view inside but the light of your mobile will do the job. It is not recommended for the old, physically disabled to walk, or people afraid of dark and height.

Please do not take any unwanted thing to nature; you do not need to have your food inside or near the cave. As it is just a few minutes walking, I would recommend not taking anything to eat or drink.

Anywhere from Bangladesh you would find a bus for Khagrachori Bus Stop, and then you need to hire a Jeep or CNG to visit the Cave. It is not far, so you need to hire a vehicle for the full day to visit other places, you know Khagrochori is full of natural beauty.
