Fast unterwegs, auf der N125 / Almost on the road, on N125 😎

Der Ami hat seine Route 66, der Portugiese seine N 125.
Die N 125 zieht sich über die gesamte Länge der Südküste der Algarve und wird auch von mir, zumindest in Teilabschnitten häufig genutzt.
Auch heute in der Früh wollte ich mich auf den Weg in die große Stadt machen, verwarf diesen Plan aber unverzüglich als ich die Haustür öffnete, mir polare Luft ins Gesicht blies und das Thermometer bei 3 Grad Celsius zu schreien begann.
So wichtig war mein Ausflug nicht, das ich mich freiwillig in die klirrende Kälte begeben musste und so änderte ich den Tagesplan, beschloss daheim zu bleiben, den Ofen einzuheizen und mir ein Bier aufzumachen, ist ja schließlich Wochenende.

The N 125 stretches over the entire length of the south coast of the Algarve and is also used by me, at least in sections frequently.
Also today in the morning I wanted to make myself on the way into the large city, but rejected this plan however immediately as I opened the front door, me polar air in my face blew and the thermometer with 3 degrees Celsius began to scream.
My trip was not so important that I had to voluntarily go into the cold and so I changed the day's plan, decided to stay at home, heat the oven, and open a beer for me, it's finally the weekend.

Da traf es sich natürlich ganz hervorragend, das @detlev, wie jeden Samstag, zu seinem #BeerSaturday einläd und zur sage und schreibe 291. Ausgabe dieses bierseligen Events, musste ich nicht erst auf die Landstraße um mir ein neues Bier zu besorgen, ich hatte noch ein N125 auf Lager.

Since it met of course quite excellent, the @detlev, as every Saturday, to its #BeerSaturday invites and to the say and write 291. Edition of this beer-loving event, I did not have to first on the highway to get a new beer, I still had one N125 in stock.

Apropo, der Hopfentrunk den ich heute probiere ist laut Etikett ein Lager Bier, aber kein gewöhnliches, sondern ein ALGARVIENNA LAGER aus dem Hause MANIA, meiner liebsten Algarve Brauerei.
Mit 5,9%Vol/Alc prescht es für ein Lager ganz schön weit nach vorne und gespannt auf das was da gleich kommen solle schenkte ich ein.
Etwas skeptisch sah ich der sich kurz erhebenden Schaumkrone dabei zu, wie sie schnell wieder in sich zusammen fiel und auch die Farbe des Bieres überraschte mich, hatte ich doch mit etwas deutlich hellerem gerechnet. Auch kann man sich darüber streiten ob Haferflocken ins Bier gehören, was hier der Fall ist wie ich bei genauerem hinsehen feststellten musste, aber schlussendlich ist es doch egal so lange es schmeckt.

Apropo, the hopped drink I'm tasting today is a lager according to the label, but not an ordinary one, but an ALGARVIENNA LAGER from MANIA, my favorite Algarve brewery.
With 5.9%Vol/Alc it is for a lager quite far forward and excited about what was to come I poured.
Somewhat skeptically I watched the briefly rising foam crown as it quickly collapsed again and also the color of the beer surprised me, I had expected something much lighter. Also, one can argue about whether oat flakes belong in the beer which is the case here, as I had to determine on closer inspection, but ultimately it does not matter as long as it tastes good.

Dem Himmel, beziehungsweise dem Brauer sei Dank, tat es das.
Ein recht mildes, dennoch würziges und den Gaumen mit ausreichend Hopfen verwöhnend, kam dieses Lager Bier trotz anfänglichen Zweifeln sehr gut.

Thank heaven, or rather the brewer, it did.
Quite mild, yet spicy and spoiling the palate with sufficient hops, this lager came out very well despite initial doubts.

Beruhigt darüber, das der Braumeister sein Handwerk nicht verlernt hat, verabschiede ich mich hiermit und rufe noch einmal …

Reassured that the brewmaster has not forgotten his craft, I hereby say goodbye and call once again ...
