I am your referee, of course, I am the one who initiated it so I decided to be the one who would be in charge. Also, to save money from hiring umpires in the game.

I received a positive impact when I guided the children in doing a parade in the whole small village. Parents and children were there, witnessing the first day and first game. I could see their excitement and fun while watching the game. I thought it would be negative since this was the first time someone initiated this kind of activity. I was scared that maybe people would see me in a bad way but I was successful. The people were loving every time the game started. I saw people were waiting before the game started.

Whenever I’m outside, many people tell me that there should be a game for them; women and even parents. Sadly, no matter how much I love them to play as well, I can not support it financially. 1000 pesos or 20 USD is big enough for me to spend at the moment. That’s why, a simple smile was the only way I could reply to them.

Anyway, since the game started I was the one standing in the center of these little players. I wanted them to experience a referee who would watch them playing. Not just them who will decide what kind of violation they'd be violated. My intention was to make them practice how a real basketball game plays. Just like them, it made me tired but as well, it was fun.

I may be exhausted from being a single referee for the two games and then before and after watching my small store, I’m fine. As long as I could see these children having fun while playing the game and there are those audiences who love watching the game. Somehow, it makes me want to do it again and again until this Christmas celebration ends.

However, this will not be the end, in fact, this is just the beginning. Now that I noticed how people love an activity like this, it inspires me to keep doing it again. Not just during the Christmas season but also during the summer season as well. I have gained positive comments so I’m confident that I will have their support, not sure about financially but their presence is still fine. I will be honored to be the one to manage it or organize it. As long as there is an opportunity to start an activity like this I am more happy to do so.
