I'm A Street Vendor
I never thought to have my own small store. I wanted to have one but considering how much the expenses could be it drained me. Not denying the fact that diving into the world of business doesn't assure you. About the earnings, if it last or just went to bankruptcy. I'm not rich so going to waste the money that I'd spent was not an option. I know the risk of investing but my attitude, who dislikes to leave far from my family, forced me to be determined in building a small store.
I was thankful for the hive, I'm always sure that I'd always think that I'm indebted to hive. I think it was in the month of October or November, not too sure because I forgot it already. I was so happy that the value of the hive went to the moon. I took the first step of risking my reputation here in hive. Every week I powered down my power to save cash by using it as the first to have my own small store. I know some of you were disappointed in my actions, sorry, I just needed to eat daily rather than relying on luck in writing a blog.
I started saving the cash I withdrew from my beloved hive blockchain. It took two months before I finally started the first product to sell. I managed to save at least 35,000 pesos or 700 US dollars. Then I thought it was fine to open a store with that small amount I had in my hand. There was a painful challenge because of typhoon Odette. I thought of losing all the money I had in my hands but I decided to gamble on building a small store and would do my best to earn from it by helping the house that was destroyed.
In the month of February, I officially opened the small store that I have until now. After 3 months I bought two appliances already, a chest freezer and a freezer which are very important to a store. Next, I bought a second-hand desktop because I was planning to do printing, encoding, and many other services. Though not being used for now because I found out that a printer with a xerox copy is too expensive. I stopped thinking of having a printer with it and decided to dive into a different type of business. I thought I was not ready yet to spend a bigger amount on items that do not earn much and a fast-moving business.
Yes, I just bought a franchise from one of the popular siomai in the Philippines named Siomai King. It was worth that much just buying its name without receiving products to sell. Though I thought it would work out since it's a food and I knew it was essential. Still, I need to work hard on it to sell it by going to different snack houses in different places. It's not bad but it's not enough to give me back the money I paid for just its name. That's why I decided to be on the street like a vendor but with a license or permission from the municipality. The festive in our town is almost near and it's a great opportunity to start where many people definitely come for a lot of events every day and night.
I don't have much time to write because I've been spending most of my time in the street. I move to different places where there are many people to buy. There's no assurance to have many customers but I think most businesses are like that. What's important is you persevere and confident that it will work out. The food I'm selling has been known as the King of Siomai for a long time. I decided to place drinks so that when people will be thirsty it will be easier for them to buy one. I'm on the street after all and not just on the same street. I'm trying my best to be everywhere to sell. At first, it was a bit embarrassing but I fully understood that there's no shame in earning money in a good way.

Nakakainspired naman po. Pagdating sa pagnenegosyo, malaki talaga yung risk pero kailangan mong maging positibo lageh at maniwala sa kakayanan mo. Sipag at tyaga lang po, for sure makakabawi din po kayo.
I hope you will succeed in your business, maybe soon it will become bigger than you expected! Goodluck.
