Troops storm ISWAP hideout in Borno kill commander, 41 others
It started raining blood at exactly 6:45pm on Saturday
at Nigerian time as troops invaded ISWAP hideout in Borno North east of Nigeria killing more than 41 of them and dismantling their hideout, rendering the remnant homeless.
Special Operation by troops of ‘Operation Hadin Kai’ North East in collaboration with Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) has stormed the hideout of ISWAP terrorists in Dikwa Local Government Area of Borno State, killing 41 of the terrorists including a Commander, Abu Zahra while others flee for their lives source.
Insurgency, social unrest, and insecurity have become the talk of the day in the northern part of Nigeria following the emergence of different terrorist groups. It has gone so bad that these various terrorist groups are, to some extent, politically driven. This is believed to be true because, if one political leader with a bad and corrupt mind explores a particular position and, after the electoral processes, fails to emerge as the winner, he will seek revenge by going into alliance with a terrorist group to make the ruling government a mess and something not to write home about.
The case of insecurity, especially in the northern part of Nigeria, has been something terrible and hard to leave, notwithstanding the fact that various security operatives have been fighting the various groups both on the air, on land, and on water too.

A sign of relief is the news that was heard on Saturday about the killing of some of the terrorists, particularly the ISWAP. The news had it that the mission was accomplised by the led army commandant, Maj. Gen. Shaibu Waidi through a silent intelligent midnight offensive attack which took the terrorists unaware, dis-stablilizing them leading to the doom of some of them.
The sources said “We recovered their truck, Anti Aircraft Gun, and all their weapons. No casualty was recorded on the side of the troops during the attack, “Consequently upon the major offensive, military equipment including One gun truck, three Dushka, motorcycles, and several other weapons were recovered from the busted terrorist base. “he said source.
A good breaking news is this to Nigerians particularly the residents in Borno. What has been a pain in their asses and has been the main reason why the socio-economic growth and various developments within the state have been stagnant and nothing to write home about, in regards to their safety and well-being. Now that the military have the upper hand, its a high time that the government of makes all the necessary help and weapons available so that the desired and long sought success and victory are granted.
