The magic plant of our childhood 'Dandelion' Karahindiba (EN-TR)

Hello friends. Are you one of those who learned the name of this plant too late, like me? When we were little, we used to buy this plant and blow it. We liked the fact that the particles on it were flying. We even made a wish while blowing. We thought it would come true when we blew it. I think I learned a few years ago that the name of the plant is Dandelion. I was very surprised when I first found out. I really liked this name.

Merhaba arkadaşlar. Bu bitkinin adını siz de benim gibi çok geç öğrenenlerden misiniz? Küçükken hep bu bitkiyi alır üflerdik. Üstündeki taneciklerin uçuşması çok hoşumuza giderdi. Hatta üflerken dilek tutardık. Üflediğimizde gerçekleşeceğini düşünüyorduk. Bitkinin isminin Karahindiba olduğunu birkaç yıl önce öğrendim sanırım. İlk öğrendiğimde çok şaşırmıştım. Çok da hoşuma gitmişti bu isim.

We saw a lot of Dandelion plants in front of our house the other day. I just took a picture of it. My husband and I also talked about our memories of this plant. While blowing the dandelion, it was said to say the name of the person he loved and say hi. It was thought that the grains of the dandelion would fly to the person whose name was said. I think people hoped for everything when technology was not developed. I'm sure there are many more stories about it. 😊

Geçen gün evimizin önünde bir sürü Karahindiba bitkisi gördük. Hemen fotoğrafını çektim. Eşimle de bu bitkiyle ilgili anılarımızdan bahsettik. Karahindibayı üflerken sevdiği kişinin ismini söyleyip selam götür denirmiş. Karahindibanın tanecikleri uçarak ismi söylenen kişiye gideceği düşünülürmüş. Teknoloji gelişmemişken insanlar her şeyden ümitleniyormuş bence. Daha eminim bir sürü hikaye vardır bununla ilgili. 😊

In addition, this plant has many benefits. There are even those who boil it and make tea. It feels really good on the skin. He was suffering from jaundice. It is even said to be beneficial for cancer. I guess it's because it's rich in minerals.
