Most people are annoyed by the way I am, but my way of learning is very particular. I learn only by doing, that is, by living the experience.

I discovered this in college and although I consider it an obstacle in my studies, I was able to take the positive side of it. Imagine in conventional education there is a teacher who explains on a blackboard and the students listen very attentively to the class.

I tried to pay attention but my mind was somewhere else, forcing me to take notes very precisely. At that time there were no mobile devices like today where you could record the class, but the notebook and pencil to write down everything that was said in class.

Me llamo mucho la atención esta pregunta, pues siento que a veces voy en sentido contrario de la humanidad, y es que soy dispersa, despistada, y me cuesta un mundo seguir instrucciones.

A la mayoría de las personas les desquicia mi manera de ser, pero mi forma de aprender es muy particular. Aprendo solo haciéndo, es decir viviendo la experiencia.

Esto lo descubrí en la universidad y aunque considero que fue un obstáculo en mis estudios, pude sacarle el lado positivo. Imagínense en la educación convencional hay un docente que explica en una pizarra y los alumnos escuchan muy atentos la clase.

Yo intentaba prestar atención pero mi mente estaba en otro lugar,esto me obligaba a tomar apuntes con mucha precisión. En esa época no había dispositivos móviles como ahora dónde se podía grabar la clase, sino el cuaderno y el lápiz para anotar todo lo que se dijera en clase.

Luego en casa, me tomaba la tarea de entender lo que había escrito en mis apuntes ,desarrollando un método que luego compartia con mis compañeros de clase.

Mi cerebro "desmenuza" la información hasta poder re interpretarla. Ahora lo veo de manera positiva, pero no siempre fue así, y en mi época universitaria sufría mucho, pues sentía que iba muy lento y comprender algo me tomaba mucho más tiempo del que tenía disponible.

Difícil seguir instrucciones

Pareciera tan sencillo, pero hasta seguir una simple receta de cocina, puede ser todo un reto para mí. Hoy en día, ya soy más amable conmigo, si soy muy despistada, y terrible para llegar a un lugar manejando o hacer una receta de cocina, pero mi perseverancia hace que siempre llegue, por la vía más larga, complicada, y llena de obstáculos pero siempre llego.

De que puede servir esto? Bueno me sirve para tener nuevas rutas de aprendizaje. Reinterpretar la información, estructurarla y poder difundir de una manera sencilla.

Si todos somos diferentes, porque intentamos meter a todos en el mismo saco y pretender que su desempeño y rendimiento sea igual?
Todos somos brillantes, y de las 10 inteligencias seguramente tenemos desarrolladas unas cuantas.

Entender como operaba mi cerebro me tomo mucho tiempo, cómo todos los mortales trataba de aprender por repetición hasta que memorizaba las cosas, y luego al momento del examen vaciaba toda la memoria y listo, no me quedaba nada, no estaba aprendiendo solo memorizado.

En la escuela no nos enseñan a pensar sino a memorizar. Razonar, analizar y re interpretar la información es un ejercicio que amerita tiempo, y tiempo es lo que menos tenemos para aprender. Parece una paradoja porque pasamos 11 años en el colegio, con mucha prisa para aprender y llegamos a la universidad y no sabemos nada, o mejor aún no hemos aprendido a razonar.

Mi forma de aprender al principio me pareció un defecto, pero en realidad me permite traspasar los límites e ir más allá, para poder apoyar a quienes no ven o no comprenden el mundo desde el cristal convencional.
