Nichybo - Chapter 3, Creation of the Menschen [EN/ES]

-"There you are!"- says Motngouila as she appears next to me, seemingly out of nowhere. - "I imagine you did well since you are here."

-Where is here?

-"This is the void, here you can create your own world and do with it what you want! Well, as long as you have the energy/power to do so. Go ahead, fill this infinite void with stars."

I snap my fingers and suddenly, countless dots light up all around me.

-"Magnificent, Almighty!"- exclaims Motngouila.

I alter the void in front of me, part of it is converted into physical form. I move my hands over the newly formed surface and organisms begin to appear sprouting life amongst all the space created. -"Quite a remarkable planet, Master"- Motngouila comments as I culminate several tectonic plates. -"May I ask what kind of world you wish to create?."

-I just want to make life and see how it develops.

-"An interesting approach, Master. Most beings would seek power, yet you value knowledge and understanding much more. However, I must warn you, O Great Lord, if you leave them with too much freedom to roam, their mortal minds may diverge from their divinity."

-Let them, I wish to see how life flourishes in freedom.

Motngouila makes a gesture similar to feeling shivers -"I have faith in your omnipotent abilities, Master..."

I fill the landscapes with all sorts of magnificent exotic plants and animals, and finally decide to create a race that idolizes me to grow my strength/energy. I spend some time contemplating what this new species should look like. After a while I decide to give it bipedal legs for strength and flexibility and several arms to improve climbing and multitasking. I also create them moderately large for adaptability.

In this way I create the first two Menschen, now fully grown and developed, and welcome them to me and their now home planet.

-Greetings, my creation, I am Bügd Khüchirkheg. I have created this world for you and as long as you and your descendants idolize me, you will prosper here.

The young creatures seem confused at first, but after a short period of time, they come to understand that I am their creator and build a small shrine to worship me.

I continue to tinker with my creations when suddenly an intense feeling of fatigue rushes over me.

-"Oh no, Master,"-Motngouila exclaims -"you have devoted a great deal of energy to your creations, you must rest.

-P-per... but... -you don't manage to finish the sentence and I fall into rest.

Slowly I begin to regain consciousness, looking towards the infinite Nichybo. -"Ah, Almighty, you have awakened! Did you enjoy your rest?"

-What happened?

-"He exhausted himself. The influx of energy he managed to gather and then released for his creations seemed to be too much and caused a debilitating reaction."- Motngouila replies, but I find it difficult to understand the totality of what he is saying. -"You need not worry, as your power continues to grow, so will your ability to maintain it, as well as your understanding of the universe."

Without mediating words, I decide to turn back to my mortals and continue to watch them grow.

Although there is no literal sense of time in Nichybo, my memories begin to accumulate and bring with them the feeling of time moving forward, and I begin to feel boredom. The Menschen have begun to reproduce and now several doetids inhabit small caves throughout the forests.

The shrine they had created in my honor still stands and the Menschen have begun to offer me a portion of their collected food as tribute. All these things grant me power/energy.

Suddenly, a prayer from one of my Menschen emerges from the surface.

-"Bügd Khüchirkheg!"- I hear my name across the skies of Nichybo. -"Bügd Khüchirkheg!"-I hear my name called once more.

Looking down, I manage to hit upon the source of the call, a crying man trapped in a small cave with a narrow entrance. Outside the cave, a huge beast seems to be patrolling the area in pursuit.

I manage to establish a communication channel over the Menschen's consciousness so it can hear me.

-..... Zon...- I say his name and he immediately deduces that it is me speaking.

-"Bügd Khüchirkheg? Oh, thank you, Bügd Khüchirkheg for answering my prayers! I am trapped in this cave, I was hunting out there with my brothers when we were separated by this monstrous beast, we all fled and now it managed to trap me in this cave without being able to get out."

-I will kill the beast, but you must take its body with you and not waste it.

-"Yes, of course Bügd Khüchirkheg!"- the man replies.

Classically and effortlessly, I conjure a bolt of lightning from the heavens and strike the beast with a billion volts of electricity. The beast is instantly calcined and Zon is sent flying from the impact into the nearest wall unharmed.

After the lightning disappears, Zon pokes his head out to verify that the beast has succumbed.

-"Zon!"- his brothers shout from a distance; after gathering and contemplating what has happened, they joyfully celebrate the blessing I have placed before them, taking the body of the beast with them to their village, beginning a great feast to celebrate my omnipotence.

Having resolved the prayer, I turn to the heavens of Nichybo and continue my eternal vigil. Again, however, my boredom arises from watching the primitive progress of my creations.

-"Master,"- Motngouila interrupts, appearing from nowhere again, - "may I make a suggestion, you are the all-powerful creator of this world, there are many things you can do! Although they will eventually learn on their own, you can lend a hand and teach them a thing or two, although, you must be careful because influencing them too much can alter their dimensions and will always have an effect on their remaining energy, although you can never know how much of it has been affected."

-Can I acquire power/energy from my creations?

-"Yes, his Omnipotence. There are also alternative methods of acquiring power, of course. For example, he can absorb essence from fallen gods just as he did before. However, it is not common for gods with any amount of power to be finished, perhaps once in an aeon!"

-"You can draw energy from lesser beings by surfing Nichybo, assuming you have the power to finish them off; but growing in power that way tends to prove more problematic than effective... Gods can also give up power by choice, perhaps you could form a deal with one of them and have them bestow some of their power as part of the deal."

-I will teach the Menschen to farm.

The Menchen were amazed at the ease of planting seeds in soil. At first, they tried planting in rocks without success until they decided that if plants need water to survive, they should simply plant them in lakes, again without success. But eventually they understood the concept and began to section off fertile areas for cultivation.

However, the Menschen's praise for this new discovery was low, and the amount of energy harvested was almost negligible.

-It seems that in order to obtain a significant source of power I must make political deals, I am interested in doing so Motngouila.

-"Of course, Master. While not the quickest way to gain power, you may be able to twist certain circumstances in your favor."

-Although, exploring Nichybo and confronting some creatures to extract their power may be an easier solution.

-"I must warn you, Master, I admire your ambition, but if you lack in power to defeat those beings, it may not turn out favorably for you."

-Perhaps it will be better if I get some strength from the Court, first...-I exclaim rather uncertainly and hesitantly.

-"¡Ahí estas!"- dice Motngouila mientras hace aparición a mi lado, aparentemente desde la nada. -"Imagino que le fue bien ya que se encuentra aquí".

-¿Dónde es aquí?

-"¡Esto es el vacío!, ¡Aquí puedes crear tu propio mundo y hacer con él lo que desees! Bueno, siempre y cuando cuentes con la energía/poder para hacerlo. Adelante, llena este infinito vacío con estrellas."

Chasqueo mis dedos y repentinamente, incontables puntos iluminan todo a mí alrededor.

-"¡Magnifico, Todopoderoso!”- exclama Motngouila.

Altero el vacío frente a mí, parte de él es convertido en forma física. Muevo mis manos sobre la superficie recién formada y organismos comienzan a aparecer brotando vida entre todo el espacio creado. -"Un planeta bastante notable, Maestro"- Motngouila comenta mientras culmino varias placas tectónicas. -¿Puedo preguntar qué tipo de mundo desea crear?

-Solo quiero hacer vida y ver cómo se desarrolla

-“Un enfoque interesante, Maestro. La mayoría de los seres buscarían poder, sin embargo usted valúa el conocimiento y entendimiento mucho más. De todas maneras, debo advertirle, Oh Gran Señor, si los dejas con demasiada libertad para vagar, las mentes de sus mortales pueden divergir de su divinidad.”

-Déjalos, deseo ver como la vida florece en libertad.

Motngouila hace un gesto similar a sentir escalofríos -"Tengo fe en sus omnipotentes habilidades, Maestro..."

Lleno los paisajes con todo tipo de magnificas plantas y animales exóticos, y finalmente decido crear una raza que me idolatre para hacer crecer mi fuerza/energía. Paso un tiempo contemplando como debería verse esta nueva especie. Después de un rato decido colocarle piernas bípedas para fuerza y flexibilidad y varios brazos para mejorar escaladas y multitareas. Además de crearlos moderadamente grandes para adaptabilidad.

De esta manera creo los dos primeros Menschen, ya totalmente desarrollados y crecidos, y les doy la bienvenida a mí y su ahora planeta hogar.

-Saludos, creación mía, yo soy Bügd Khüchirkheg. He creado este mundo para ustedes y mientras ustedes y sus descendientes me idolatren, prosperaran aquí.

Las jóvenes criaturas parecen confundidas en un comienzo, pero después de un corto periodo de tiempo, logran entender que soy su creador y construyen un pequeño santuario para adorarme.

Continuo retocando mis creaciones cuando repentinamente una sensación intensa de fatiga se precipita sobre mí.

-“¡Oh no, Maestro!”- Motngouila exclama, -“has designado una gran porción de energía a tus creaciones, debes descansar.”

-P-per.. pero..- no alcanzas a terminar la frase y caigo en reposo.

Lentamente comienzo a retomar consciencia, mirando hacia el infinito Nichybo. -"¡Ah, Todopoderoso, has despertado! ¿Disfrutaste tu descanso?"

-¿Qué ocurrió?

-"Se agotó a sí mismo. La afluencia de energía que logro reunir y luego libero para sus creaciones, pareció ser mucho y causo una reacción debilitadora." - responde Motngouila, pero me resulta difícil entender la totalidad de lo que dice. -"No debe preocuparse, mientras su poder siga creciendo, también lo hará su habilidad para mantenerlo, así como su entendimiento del universo."

Sin mediar palabras, decido volver hacia mis mortales y continuar viéndoles crecer.

Aunque no exista un sentido literal del tiempo en Nichybo, mis recuerdos comienzan a acumularse y traer consigo la sensación del tiempo avanzando, y comienzo a sentir aburrimiento. Los Menschen han comenzado a reproducirse y ahora varias docetas habitan en pequeñas cuevas por los bosques.

El santuario que habían creado en mi honor aún se mantiene y los Menschen han comenzado a ofrecerme una porción de su comida recolectada como tributo. Todas estas cosas me otorgan poder/energía.

De pronto, una plegaria de uno de mis Menschen emerge de la superficie.

-"¡Bügd Khüchirkheg!"- Oigo mi nombre a través de los cielos de Nichybo. -"¡Bügd Khüchirkheg!"- oigo nombrarme una vez más.

Mirando hacia abajo, logro dar con la fuente del llamado, un hombre en llanto atrapado en una pequeña cueva con una estrecha entrada. Fuera de la cueva, una enorme bestia parece patrullar el área en su búsqueda.

Logro establecer un canal de comunicación sobre la consciencia del Menschen para que pueda orime.

-..... Zon...- Digo su nombre e inmediatamente deduce que soy yo quien habla.

-"¿Bügd Khüchirkheg? ¡Oh, gracias, Bügd Khüchirkheg por responder mis plegarias! Estoy atrapado en esta cueva, estaba cazando ahí fuera con mis hermanos cuando fuimos separados por esta bestia monstruosa, todos huimos y ahora logró atraparme en esta cueva sin poder salir.

• Matare a la bestia, pero deberán llevar su cuerpo con ustedes y no desperdiciarlo

-"¡Si, por supuesto Bügd Khüchirkheg!"- el hombre responde.

De manera clásica y sin esfuerzo, conjuro un rayo desde los cielos y golpeo a la bestia con un billón de voltios de electricidad. La bestia es calcinada al instante y Zon es enviado volando del impacto hacia la pared más cercana sin hacerse daño.

Después que el rayo desaparece, Zon asoma su cabeza para verificar que la bestia ha sucumbido.

-"¡Zon!"- sus hermanos gritan desde la distancia; después de reunirse y contemplar lo sucedido, celebran con alegría la bendición que he puesto ante ellos, llevando consigo el cuerpo de la bestia hacia su villa, dando inicio a un gran festín para celebrar mi omnipotencia.

Habiendo resuelto la plegaria, me vuelvo a los cielos del Nichybo y continúo con mi eterna vigía. Nuevamente, sin embargo, mi aburrimiento se hace presente de mirar el primitivo progreso de mis creaciones.

-"Maestro,"- Motngouila interrumpe, apareciendo desde la nada de nuevo, -"¿puedo hacerle una sugerencia?, usted es el creador todopoderoso de este mundo, ¡hay muchas cosas que puede hacer! Aunque ellos eventualmente aprenderán por su cuenta, usted puede brindarles la mano y enseñarles una o dos cosas, aunque, debe tener cuidado porque influenciarlos demasiado puede alterar sus dimensiones y siempre tendrá efecto en su energía restante, aunque nunca puede saberse cuanta de ésta ha sido afectada".

-¿Puedo adquirir poder/energía de mis creaciones?

-"Si, su Omnipotencia. También existen métodos alternativos para adquirir poder, por su puesto. Por ejemplo, puede absorber esencia de dioses caídos tal cual como hizo antes. Sin embargo, no es común que dioses con cualquier cantidad de poder sean acabados, ¡quizá una vez en un eón!”

-“Puede extraer energía de seres inferiores surcando en Nichybo, asumiendo que tenga el poder para acabarlos; pero crecer en poder de esa manera tiende a resultar más problemático que efectivo… Los dioses también pueden ceder poder por decisión propia, tal vez pudiera formar un trato con uno de ellos y hacerles otorgar parte de su poder como parte del trato”.

-Enseñaré a los Menschen a cultivar.

Los Menchen estaban estupefactos por la facilidad de plantar semillas en el suelo. En un inicio, intentaron plantar en rocas sin éxito hasta que decidieron que si las plantas necesitan agua para sobrevivir, sencillamente debían plantarlas en lagos, nuevamente sin éxito. Pero eventualmente entendieron el concepto y comenzaron a seccionar áreas fértiles para el cultivo.

Sin embargo, las alabanzas de los Menschen gracias a este nuevo descubrimiento eran pocas, y la cantidad de energía recolectada era casi insignificante.

-Parece que para obtener una fuente significante de poder debo hacer tratos políticos, me interesa hacerlo Motngouila.

-"Por supuesto, Maestro. Aunque no es la manera más rápida de obtener poder, puede que sea capaz de torcer ciertas circunstancias a su favor."

-Aunque, explorar el Nichybo y enfrentar algunas criaturas para extraer su poder puede ser una solución más fácil.

-"Debo advertirle, Maestro, admiro su ambición, pero si carece en poder para vencer a esos seres, puede que no resulte favorable para usted."

-Quizá sea mejor si obtengo algo de fuerzas en la Corte, primero...- exclamo con bastante inseguridad e indecisión.
