Bandros cake is a traditional Indonesian snack cake originating from the city of Bandung, West Java. This slightly round shaped snack is made from a mixture of rice flour,tapioca flour, coconut milk, granulated sugar and salt. The dough is steamed until it expands and has a light texture, Hive friends.

Bandros cake is usually served with grated coconut and palm sugar syrup, which adds sweetness and flavor to the snack. It tastes slightly sweet and the coconut milk smells fragrant. The texture is soft and chewy, similar to other typical Indonesian snacks such as Kue Apem or Lapis Legit, Hive friends.

Usually sold at street vendors or in traditional markets in the Bandung area, but I bought this cake at our local market in Aceh, which already has bandros cakes. Bandros cakes are a popular choice for breakfast or afternoon snack. Can be enjoyed with a cup of hot tea or coffee, Hive friends.

This snack is not only enjoyed in Bandung, but is also popular in other cities in Indonesia. This is a favorite traditional snack that represents all regions in Indonesia, my hive friends.
