This was a good walk, part 1

Well finally I got home, I woke up early in the morning, I did some stretching movements to warm up my body and start the day, I had a small cup of coffee with very little bread and went out to the park, the idea was to continue with the outings as I used to do before, when I went for a walk at least 3 or four times a week, so I am over that goal again and I wanted to go back to the park called metropolitan, which is the second section of the Parque Ecologico, tomorrow in the second part of this post I will show you in more detail the information about this beautiful place, as I don't want to extend too much because I feel tired, I was out of the house for about 10 hours, because after taking the pictures I visited some people to whom I occasionally do photography work or also that I sell cactus and succulents, long story the truth.

When I arrived at the park the truth is that I already had in mind what I wanted to photograph, birds, all the birds I could find, especially those little bastards that have a small size and jump from branch to branch endlessly, as if they had some ADD problem, the truth is that the first thing I saw were turtles, and yes I took pictures of them but I'll put them below because this post is about birds more than anything, and the story of a productive day.

Look at this beautiful picture! The truth is that I say it with sincerity and without trying to be arrogant, but seriously I really liked the result, I could take this picture because the bird (Butorides virescens) was very still because it was cold, It was early in the morning and it is the best time to take pictures of some birds and insects because at this time they are very quiet, of course if you get too close it will fly, that's why today I only went out with the Canon 55-250mm lens that I always use, a kit lens but that undoubtedly fulfills its function to help you get those images you need.

One of the advantages I have or at least I consider an advantage, is that since I started with this whole photography thing I have been creating a lot of presets in Lightroom, so even when I take a picture I am already thinking about the preset I will use to quickly edit the image, which works quite well for me right now that I am avoiding sitting too much because of what I mentioned before about the stomach problems I have been having, By the way, this bird is known as garcita verde in Spanish.

Here come the turtles! Going to the park and not taking pictures of turtles, is like going to the park and not taking pictures of ducks haha, they are what is abundant, and since they are there basking in the sun and the challenge of getting close to take the picture is similar to other birds, well I accept the challenge, because if you get too close, if you make noise, or your camera lens is too bright, they just drop to the bottom of the water and go somewhere else, if you make noise, or the lens of your camera is too bright, they simply drop to the bottom of the water and go to another place, or at least they wait for you to leave to come out again, so taking two pictures from different positions is a challenge, try it and you will see.

The little bastards as I call them, jump from one branch to another without stopping, and the truth is that it was difficult to take a picture because as soon as I tried to focus, the bastards had already jumped to another place, and the truth is that this was the best I could get so far, I'm already thinking of investing in a new camera with different lenses to take these pictures although the challenge for me is to be able to be among the trees without being noticed, there must be some technique to take the picture without failing. I think it is Polioptila caerulea.

I think that three days ago I visited this place, but that day I was only carrying the kit lens of my camera the 15-45mm, it is not a lens to do bird photography that is clear, but it still allowed me to take the following picture that I saved for this moment.

But back to today, I saw again the Pitangus sulphuratus (Luis Bienteveo) that invited me to take pictures of him, the truth is that it was early in the morning and I was at the edge of the pond under the trees, so I programmed my camera to take pictures at a specific shutter speed and a fixed aperture, I just let the ISO move up and down as needed, so some pictures have an ISO up to 6400, but still I think the pictures look pretty good right?

And the last picture, I know I was on a hunting trip but I couldn't help but take a picture of this little plant that I have no idea what it's called but I still thought it was interesting enough to share with you.

Ok google lens says it may be the Dalea leporina plant, not sure but I will keep searching.

And well, finally I say goodbye, tomorrow or in two days I have not decided yet, I will post the second part of this walk, the truth is that I'm trying to avoid spending a lot of time sitting in front of the pc, luckily as I say, editing is not really a problem because I already have much of the work done in advance with the presets, but I still have to invest time in writing everything that happened, just as it happened, don't miss the second part because it's very interesting and I finally got a picture of one of the little bastards, I still need to investigate the gender and relevant data, that's why I'll make it public until the next post, see you.

Thank you, it was quite easy to get the effect with the lens with which I took the pictures, it looks like this because I was about 6 meters away from the bird.
