HELPING A NEW USER MAKE HIS FIRST INTRODUCTORY POST
Due to the recent Hive evangelism by @starstrings01, of which I’m honored to be part of, we’ve been receiving new members from our university. One of the product of the movement is @franciscm
Francis is a digital artist looking for ways to better publicize his work, so when we brought the gospel of hive to him, he didn’t need much convincing. All we did was to tell him that he had the opportunity to share his work to thousands of users all over the world, and he was in.
After briefing him on what the basics he needed to know, @statrstrings01 sent him the link to register. He had trouble doing that due to issues with his internet connection. After some days, he was able to scale through that hurdle.
On Saturday while chatting with him, he mentioned that he needed help with his introductory post. He had written everything he wanted to write but he couldn’t publish it. As he was describing the trouble he was having, I immediately knew what was wrong.
He had completed the post, included a title, but he didn’t include the tags. I told him what was wrong and promised to visit him the next day so as to help him complete his post as well as show him around.
Sunday came, and just as I promised, I met up with him at one of our mutual friend’s place. I wanted to show it to him on his laptop and see if I could help him make some corrections if need be, but they was no power supply and his laptop was almost dead. So as not to waste more time, I decided to use my own laptop instead. I showed him the things he needed to do before his post can be successfully published and he realized his mistake at once. He thanked me and promised to make his first post as soon as his laptop gets charged.
After doing that, I decided to go further by telling him the communities he needed to join. I also gave him some advice on how to navigate the platform as a beginner just starting out.
I was very proud of myself while speaking with him because even I was surprised at how far I’d come in such a short amount of time. I owe my progress so far to God and all of my friends here on hive, especially @starstrings01 and @chosenfingers.
I know Francis for his hardworking skills and consistency, and if there’s anyone who can go all the way to the top, I know it’s him.
He’s someone we should all look forward to because I know he has a lot to offer to the hive community.
Here is the link to his just published introductory post. You can do well to check him out.

We rise by lifting others man. I grew in this platform because I helped others. Now, you are realizing how far you have come and your understanding on the blockchain after you helped someone out.
