Today I bring you an event recently lived in my house and which led me to consult and stick with documentary arguments. It is about a small animal that has begun to invade the spaces of my garden. Today exclusively appeared two very dark-colored worms of chestnut color climbing a plant of hanging ferns that I have in the porch of my house. According to my research, it is the "Caterpillar Patotera" (Hylesia nigricans) which, according to its activity, starts between September and January. Even at that time it is gradually raining in South America, specifically in Venezuela. This worm or Caterpillar is also called "Caterpillar Peluche", "Caterpillar Pollito". I understand that it is called this way because of its fluff that is also dangerous for human skin. Contact with them causes pathological changes due to the venom reaction. Among these are poisoning which causes intense pain and a rash or spots. The most susceptible people may experience nausea, abdominal pain, headache and breathing difficulties.

Se trata de un animalito que ha comenzado a invadir los espacios de mi jardín. Hoy exclusivamente aparecieron dos señores gusanos de color muy oscuro tirando a castaño trepando una planta de helechos colgantes que tengo en el porche de mi casa. Según mis investigaciones se trata de "La Oruga Patotera" (Hylesia nigricans) que según su actividad comienza entre los meses de septiembre y enero. Aun en ese tiempo está lloviendo gradualmente por las zonas de América del Sur, específicamente me refiero a Venezuela. A este gusano u Oruga también le dicen "Oruga Peluche", Oruga Pollito". Entiendo que le dicen así por sus pelusas que además son peligrosas para la piel humana. Tener contacto con ellas provoca cambios patológicos debido a la reacción del veneno. Entre estas están el envenenamiento que causa un dolor intenso y un sarpullido o manchas. Los personas más susceptibles pueden presentar náuseas, dolor abdominal, dolor de cabeza y dificultades respiratorias.

Lo antes expuesto es para de una u otra manera sea un argumento para entender y saber qué hacer ante este animalito que a parte de misterioso en su parecer causa serios problemas al ser humano. Sin embargo, esas reacciones tardan un lapso moderado de tiempo siendo atacado con atención y acudiendo a las recomendaciones podemos salir de ese apuro. Milagrosamente no intenté por su aspecto llegar a tocarlo, sencillamente utilicé una pinza quirúrgica para luego hacer las tomas fuera de su ambiente en el que aparecieron. Por un momento creí que estaba muerto porque no se movía pero cuando lo puse en la claridad comenzó a moverse sin parar y por ello le muestro este video de algunos segundos.

Realmente me sirvió esta experiencia para saber y conocer sobre la vida y la aparición de algunos animalitos que por alguna razón están en el entorno; es decir, pertenecen a un ecosistema donde vienen a cumplir una misión natural para el equilibrio natural. Es fascinante dedicarse y profundizar en estas interesantes experiencias que cada día nos vuelve más sensibles ante tanta magnanimidad natural.
