Dejando rastros / La Babosa [ESP-ENG]
¿Has sentido alguna vez que invaden tu casa? Puede que sí. Por temporadas muchas veces animalitos migran de un lugar a otro y se topan con nuestra casa, como las hormigas de @tejimundo, y esto puede ser producido por los cambios climáticos, por ejemplo, en temporadas muy lluviosas se encuentran más culebras en los hogares porque estas van en busca de refugio y calor; o también va a depender de la zona en la que vivamos, si es una zona húmeda podemos encontrar animales invasivos como la babosa.
Y hablando de las babosas, este pequeño animal se encuentra mucho en el lugar donde vivo, junto con los caracoles y otros animales que son moluscos. El barrio donde vivo se llama El Bosque y no tiene ese nombre por nada, en realidad es una zona bastante alta, literalmente estamos al pie de árboles de pino. Por ser una zona húmeda es común ver a estos animales.

And speaking of slugs, this small animal is found a lot where I live, along with snails and other animals that are mollusks. The neighborhood where I live is called El Bosque and it doesn't have that name for nothing, it is actually a fairly high area, we are literally at the foot of pine trees. Because it is a humid area it is common to see these animals.
La babosa o siete cueros como lo conozco también, fue el primer animal que me encontré cuando fui a arrendar este apartaestudio donde estoy. En la entrada principal hay unas escaleras y allí estaba la babosa a la puerta de la casa como queriéndome decir: ¡quiero que sepas que este es mi territorio y que tu casa es mi casa! Al principio la verdad no le di tanta importancia era una simple babosa que vi.
Luego al pasar de los días empecer a notar algunas líneas brillantes en la alfombra o tapete y en algunas paredes del patio, ¡ahora si capto mi atención! Fue extraño porque desde aquella vez no volví a ver una babosa de día pero era evidente que aún me seguía visitando pero ahora por las noches.
The slug or seven hides as I also know it, was the first animal I met when I went to rent this studio apartment where I am. At the main entrance there are some stairs and there was the slug at the door of the house as if it wanted to tell me: I want you to know that this is my territory and that your house is my house! At the beginning I didn't really think much of it, it was just a simple slug that I saw.
Then as the days went by I began to notice some shiny lines on the carpet or rug and on some walls of the patio, now it really caught my attention! It was strange because since that time I never saw a slug during the day but it was evident that it was still visiting me but now at night.
Esto pasó por un tiempo, todos los días al levantarme veía el mismo rastro. Un día que regrese tarde a la casa, ya de noche, al encender la luz dije: ¡Aja, te descubrí!, allí estaba la babosa muy juiciosa dejando su rastro. Pero mi sorpresa no fue solo esa, al entrar a la cocina y encender la luz pude ver a dos babosas más, lo que pensé fue ¡me invadieron! ¡Ahora ya no se quien está en la casa de quien! Si ellas en la mía o yo en la de ellas.
Gracias a eso descubrí que venden repelente para babosas, aún estoy pensando en compararlo, pero mientras tanto me aseguro de resguardar bien los alimentos, lavar todo antes de utilizarlo y no dejar nada que sea para el consumo en un lugar abierto, evitando de que su baba toque alguno de estos objetos, porque desconozco si es perjudicial para la salud por eso es mejor evitar.
This went on for a while, every day when I woke up I saw the same trail. One day when I returned home late at night, when I turned on the light I said: Aha, I found you, there was the slug, very judicious, leaving its trail. But my surprise was not only that, when I went into the kitchen and turned on the light I could see two more slugs, what I thought was: they invaded me! Now I don't know who is in whose house! If they are in mine or I am in theirs.
Thanks to that I discovered that they sell slug repellent, I am still thinking about comparing it, but meanwhile I make sure to protect the food well, wash everything before using it and do not leave anything that is for consumption in an open place, avoiding that their slime touches any of these objects, because I do not know if it is harmful to health so it is better to avoid.
Como de costumbre, de cada animal que conozco me gusta extraer una lección, algo en que meditar. En esta oportunidad me puse a pensar en el hecho de que aquella babosa aunque al principio no la lograba ver siempre dejo su rastro o su huella por así decirlo para hacer sentir su presencia y decir ¡yo estuve ahí!
De la misma manera nosotros, aunque para muchos seamos de poca importancia y de poca relevancia cada vez que tengamos la oportunidad de presentarnos debemos hacerlo al tal punto que nos hagamos sentir, que todos sepan que estuvimos allí, dejemos nuestro rastro o nuestra huella. La mejor manera de hacerlo es entregando el corazón en cada cosa que hacemos.
Reflection As usual, from every animal I meet I like to extract a lesson, something to meditate on. This time I started to think about the fact that that slug, although at the beginning I could not see it, always left its trace or its footprint, so to speak, to make its presence felt and say, "I was there!
In the same way we, although for many we are of little importance and of little relevance every time we have the opportunity to present ourselves we must do it to the point that we make ourselves felt, that everyone knows that we were there, we leave our trace or our footprint. The best way to do this is to put our heart into everything we do.
