THE RISE AND FALL OF A HERO

We were asked to write a story about someone who started from scratch and made it through hard work, and determination; and immediately a popular business mogul came to mind. She's actually very popular on social media but for the purpose of this story, I won't be mentioning her name.

It's funny how she was later discovered and reprimanded by the Nigerian police force on charges of fakery and money laundering and I still choose to talk about her.

Yes, asides the story of her downfall, which went viral real quick, those who were there and watched her raise to her short-lived fame should not forget the days of her humble beginnings.

From every perspective, it seemed like the popular business mogul started out on a good ground; trustworthy, hard-working, and the entrepreneurship spirit but it seemed along the way, her pure intentions.

Sentiments aside, From the start, she motivated me. I admired her dogedness and consistency. She was one who if she maintained these standards, would have taken her business to international levels.

In as much as everyone who heard her story choose to castigate and condemn her actions. I chose to see a lady who was will-driven and has a passion for success. Her growth was glaringly organic which is commendation as no business owner these days will have the patience to.

She knew her onions, I'd say, and did well to flaunt herself and her business in our faces at any given opportunity. That's called networking. Through her, I learnt the importance of building your network; a very tantamount aspect in business. As a very popular quote says. No one made it in life without other people.

If the whole thing wasn't discovered to be an act of forgery, I'd have said she's a perfect example of determination and hardwork.
