Weekly Battles Showcase ~ Splinterlands Social Media Challenge!

Hello, people on splinterlands, how are you guys doing?
It's winter here, but still, the habit of staying up late at night hasn't gone for me. During these late hours, I have been playing splinterlands battles one after another, exploring through some new rulesets until or unless I got exhausted and sat down to participate in this week's Splinterlands Social Media Challenge.

So, just like in the previous weeks, I have tried to gather a few of my battles and showcase in this post. My agenda is to discuss a little bit that might help someone or someone might help me to improve on those cases as well. As, we all know sharing is a caring and that's what keeps us moving forward and growing. So lets go ahead.....

Battle - 1: Saved by an Inch

Ruleset: Beefcakes

  • You can only summon units with 5 or more health.

This one is thrilling. As per the ruleset, I had to bring in all the 5+ health monsters. Even the mana wasn't high enough to accommodate all the heavyweight monsters. Still, my monsters gave a head-to-head fight.

It was at this moment that I thought I lost. If you count the stats then it would've been predictable but the flying ability saved my ass. One missed strike from my opponent gave me the victory. So yeah, try to include monsters like this in the lineup.

Battle - 2: Same but Different

Ruleset: Aimless

  • All units with magic and ranged attacks have Scattershot (magic and ranged attacks target a random enemy unit).
  • Scattershot can target Camouflaged units.

Here in this battle, how come both of us took the same summoner and the same monster as tank with the throns ability. Both of us did played the same strategy to reduce stats via summoner and eat via throns as well. The line of difference started from the second monsters.

So it's not always the summoner and the tank that determines the game results, they play a significant role but the rest of the lineup is equally significant to continue the rest of the battle. Though both of us thought of the same strategy I got the victory due to the rest of the monsters.

Battle - 3: Less is Now

Ruleset: Four's a Crowd

  • You can summon a maximum of 4 units.

Well, seeing this battle, I was like, "WTH! Its already capped at four units and the mana limit is 12 as well." It pushed me to go as less as possible. Look at my opponent's monsters and mine as well. My opponent brought in a heavy-weight monster that could kill my monsters with one strike except one.

But guess what, even after being the bloodlust, killing one of my units, it had to die missing one of its strikes towards my flying ability monster. It missed one strike and went down and I won the battle as well.
