Hola mis queridas abejitas 🐝 últimamente he estado en movimiento, haciendo algunas cosas en casa y unas cuantas diligencias en la calle, estoy bastante emocionada por lo que he logrado hasta ahora y vino corriendo a contarles ya que cada vez que estoy sin animos vengo me desahogo y ustedes me animan bastante, pues, también quiero compartir las alegrías y los pequeños logros que me están llevando a mejorar mi estilo de vida.

En uno de los post pasados les hablaba de que estábamos dándole amor a nuestro hogar y seguimos en eso, el fin de semana comenzamos a pintar nuestro apartamento, ya casi tenemos un año viviendo aquí y cunado lo recibimos estaba impecable, pero con tres niños pequeños es dificil mantener todo impecable siempre, nuestro apartamento está pintando totalmente en blanco, por lo que es más fácil notar que ya las paredes están un poco grises en algunos espacios más que en otros, como en el cuarto de los niños y en el pasillo, pues ellos siempre están tocando las paredes y muchas veces no tienen las manos limpias así que el sucio se localiza prácticamente a la misma altura en todas las paredes.

La pintura la compramos hace más de una semana y esperamos hasta el fin de semana para comenzar a darle ese toque de limpieza nuevamente a nuestro hogar, así que el sábado nos levantamos, preparamos un desayuno muy rápido, cereal con leche 🤣 y nos pusimos manos a la obra, primero revolvimos bien la pintura para suavizarla (no sé cómo se le dice) y que tomara la textura adecuada y no pegajosa que tiene si no se mezcla bien.

Comencé pintando la sala - comedor a pesar de ser pequeña tarde un par de horas para terminar porque apliqué dos capas de pintura en cada pared y así me aseguré de que todo quedará bien cubierto, luego pinté el pasillo que es bastante pequeño ya que están los cuartos y el área de lavandería en frente, fueron dos paredes muy rápidas de pintar. Parece poco y sencillo el trabajo pero con niños demandando atención se hace más larga la jornada. Por lo que tuve que pedir ayuda a mi hijo mayor a la hora de preparar el almuerzo.

We bought the paint more than a week ago and we waited until the weekend to start giving that clean touch again to our home, so on Saturday we got up, prepared a quick breakfast, cereal with milk 🤣 and we got down to work, first we stirred the paint well to soften it (I do not know how to say it) and to take the right texture and not sticky that it has if it is not well mixed.

I started painting the living - dining room even though it is small it took me a couple of hours to finish because I applied two coats of paint on each wall and that way I made sure that everything will be well covered, then I painted the hallway which is quite small since there are the rooms and the laundry area in front, they were two walls very fast to paint. It seems like a small and simple job but with children demanding attention it makes the day longer. So I had to ask my oldest son to help me when it was time to prepare lunch.

Fue la primera vez que le dije necesito que hagas la comida y él un poco nervioso me dijo "pero si no se cocinar" 😂😂 le dije: tranquilo yo te voy a guiar y acompañar en todo, haremos espaguetis con pollo en salsa de crema, una receta sumamente fácil y rápida. Así que el me ayudó en lo que tomaba mas tiempo, picar en cuadros la pechuga de pollo y Aliñarlo, poner el agua a hervir para los espaguetis y estar pendiente del tiempo, yo me encargue de encenderle siempre la cocina y de los espaguetis porque me daba miedo que quemara con el agua caliente, sin embargo fué de muchísima ayuda que él se ocupara del resto, mientras que yo pintaba y supervisaba las actividades de los más pequeños que querían pintar también.

So he helped me in what took the most time, chopping the chicken breast into squares and dressing it, put the water to boil for the spaghetti and be aware of the time, I was always in charge of turning on the stove and the spaghetti because I was afraid of burning with hot water, however it was very helpful that he took care of the rest, while I painted and supervised the activities of the little ones who wanted to paint too.

La pintura era de agua así que no usamos periódicos para colocar en el piso porque las pocas gotas que cayeron las limpiamos con un trapo húmedo sin problema, la comida quedó riquísima y la casa hermosa, aún me faltan los cuartos por pintar, pero espero continuar el próximo fin de semana y sé que estaré muy satisfecha porque podré tachar algo más de mi lista de cosas por hacer esto año. Nos leemos pronto

The paint was water based so we didn't use newspapers to put on the floor because the few drops that fell we cleaned them with a damp cloth without any problem, the food was delicious and the house was beautiful, I still have the rooms to paint, but I hope to continue next weekend and I know I will be very satisfied because I will be able to cross something else off my list of things to do this year.
