El regalo de Gabriel🎁 || Gabriel's gift🎁 [Esp-Eng]
Hola mamitas y papitos de #motherhood espero que todos estén bien. Ya estamos casi a mitad de enero y todavía se sienten los días un poco lentos y solos como si aún estuviésemos de vacaciones o por lo menos así se siente en el lugar donde vivo.
Hello #motherhood mommies and daddies I hope everyone is doing well. We are almost half way through January and it still feels a little slow and lonely as if we are still on vacation or at least that's how it feels where I live.
Mis niños han estado felices con sus regalos de navidad aunque apenas hace unos días fue que pudieron disfrutar de uno de ellos, este año cada uno recibió lo que quería, Gabriel una pista de carrera y un vídeo juegos portátil, Dereck pidió varios dinosaurios y una pizarra mágica y Diego aunque no estuvo con nosotros pidió Legos y allí está su regalo esperando a que regrese de su viaje.
Debido a la pandemia salimos muy poco, tratamos de hacerlo solo para lo necesario, así que mi esposo y yo decidimos darles un regalo extra a cada uno, que nos obligue a sacarlos de casa al menos un par de veces por semana, por eso les compramos un scooter a cada, para bajarlos a los jardines y alrededores para que puedan jugar al aire libre y disfrutar algo diferente de lo que han estado viviendo este último año.
My kids have been happy with their Christmas presents although only a few days ago they were able to enjoy one of them, this year each one received what he wanted, Gabriel a racetrack and a portable video game, Dereck asked for several dinosaurs and a magic board and Diego although he was not with us asked for Legos and there is his present waiting for him to come back from his trip.
Because of the pandemic we go out very little, we try to do it only for what is necessary, so my husband and I decided to give them an extra gift each, that forces us to take them out of the house at least a couple of times a week, so we bought them a scooter each, to take them down to the gardens and surroundings so they can play outdoors and enjoy something different from what they have been living this last year.
Los regalos los compramos con bastante antelación más o menos a principios de noviembre y los guardamos para que ellos no lo vieran, hasta noche buena que al fin los recibieron y pudieron jugar con ellos menos con el scooter, para eso esperamos hasta el 25 en la tarde y los llevamos a jugar al jardín, pero 20 minutos después de estar jugando mi esposo notó que él scooter de Gabriel estaba roto. 🤦 Ese día no continuaron jugando más
Dos días después llevamos el scooter a la tienda donde lo compramos y explicamos lo sucedido, la chica que nos atendió dijo que no podían darnos garantía porque había Sido usado ya, pero sin embargo lo recibió para hablarlo con su jefe y dijo que nos llamaría apenas nos tuviese una respuesta.
We bought the gifts well in advance more or less at the beginning of November and we kept them so that they would not see them, until Christmas Eve when they finally received them and could play with them except with the scooter, for that we waited until the 25th in the afternoon and we took them to play in the garden, but 20 minutes after playing my husband noticed that Gabriel's scooter was broken. 🤦 That day they didn't continue playing anymore.
Two days later we took the scooter to the store where we bought it and explained what happened, the girl who attended us said that they could not give us warranty because it had already been used, but nevertheless she received it to talk about it with her boss and said she would call us as soon as she had an answer.
Días después mi esposo recibió la llamada de la vendedora, diciendo que lamentable no podían cambiarnos el juguete ni repararlo, porque ni su jefe ni el proveedor de ellos asumían el desperfecto del artículo, esto nos enojó mucho y mi esposo les manifestó respetuosamente nuestra molestia por su irresponsabilidad a la hora de dar garantía sobre un producto que es para un niño y que si se rompió es porque venía defectuoso.
Sin embargo no dejamos que esto nos llenará de malas vibras, mi esposo tenía que ir a retirar el scooter defectuoso para llevarlo a algún lugar donde lo pudiesen reparar y si no se podía ya habíamos asumido que entonces debíamos comprarle uno nuevo.
Days later my husband received a call from the saleswoman, saying that unfortunately they could not change the toy or repair it, because neither her boss nor their supplier would assume the damage of the item, this made us very angry and my husband respectfully expressed our annoyance for their irresponsibility when giving warranty on a product that is for a child and that if it broke it is because it was defective.
However, we didn't let this fill us with bad vibes, my husband had to go and pick up the defective scooter to take it somewhere where it could be repaired and if it couldn't be repaired we had already assumed that we would have to buy a new one.
El día que mi esposo fue a buscar el Scooter volvió a explicarle a la chica de la tienda nuestra inconformidad y ella dijo que entendía su posición pero como vendedora no podía hacer nada, pero grande fue la sorpresa cuando la chica llamó al dueño para decirle que habían ido a recoger el Scooter dañado y este le dijo que le entregara uno nuevo del color que quisiera.
No estuve en el lugar, pero por la descripción de mi esposo, sé que fue de emoción. Le entregaron un Scooter nuevo y sé que se sentía inmortal jajajaja (es un decir) al ver que solucionó, esta situación mejor de lo que esperaba.
The day my husband went to pick up the scooter he went back to explain to the girl at the store our dissatisfaction and she said she understood his position but as a saleswoman she could not do anything, but great was the surprise when the girl called the owner to tell him that they had gone to pick up the damaged scooter and he told her to give him a new one in the color he wanted.
I was not on site, but from my husband's description, I know he was thrilled. They gave him a new Scooter and I know he felt immortal hahahaha (just saying) to see that he solved this situation better than he expected.
Como él siempre dice "un hombre tiene que darle respuestas a las necesidades de su familia" ese día llenó de mucha alegría a Gabriel porque al fin tenía de vuelta su regalo de navidad y esta vez si funcionó sin problema.
Desde entonces nos hemos planificado para llevarlos a jugar en las áreas comunes del conjunto donde vivimos tres veces por semana, este tiempo se divierten mucho y aunque hemos bajado solo un par de veces podemos notar como con está nueva actividad liberan toda esa energía que tenían acumulada y ahora están más alegres todos los días.
As he always says "a man has to give answers to his family's needs" that day filled Gabriel with joy because he finally had his Christmas present back and this time it worked without a problem.
Since then we have planned to take them to play in the common areas of the complex where we live three times a week, this time they have a lot of fun and although we have gone down only a couple of times we can notice how with this new activity they release all that energy they had accumulated and now they are happier every day.
Entonces aunque esté regalo nos dió un poquito de dolor de cabeza, valió la pena. Nos leemos pronto.
