La Planta Más Hermosa

Hojas verdes, tallo altivo
Árbol de ramas frondosas,
Si pudiera hablar contigo,
Te preguntaría una cosa:
De todas las plantas del mundo
¿Cuál será la más hermosa?

Todas son bellas sin duda
Ninguna más bella que la otra
Aunque le nazcan espinas
Son coronadas por rosas
Y purifican la brisa que refresca silenciosa.

Pero la planta más bella
Antes que acabe mi prosa
Es la que siembras y que riegas
La que crece esplendorosa
La que te hace ser responsable, tierna, feliz y orgullosa...
“Esa es la planta más hermosa”.

The Most Beautiful Plant

Green leaves, tall stem
tree with leafy branches,
If I could talk to you,
I would ask you one thing:
Of all the plants in the world
Which will be the most beautiful?

They are all beautiful without a doubt
None more beautiful than the other
Although thorns grow
They are crowned with roses
And they purify the silent refreshing breeze.

But the most beautiful plant
Before my prose ends
It is the one you sow and water
The one that grows splendid
The one that makes you responsible, tender, happy and proud...
“That's the most beautiful plant”.
