Over the weekend I visited the zoo El Pinar 🍃 in Caracas.... I was very happy to go to a zoo because since I moved to the capital I had never gone to a zoo again, the last time was when I lived in Barquisimeto, Venezuela. I had heard a lot about this zoo because they recently reopened it after remodeling it and accommodating it a lot, besides they received new animals, so the first chance I had to go I didn't miss it.

Llegamos al zoologico y nos estacionamos, la entrada es completamente gratis lo único que tienes que pagar es el estacionamiento pero es un monto muy económico. Cuando llegamos fuimos directo a la parte de "zoológico de contacto", habían vaquitas, ovejas, alpacas, cabritas, chivitos, cerditos y llamas y podías comprar bolsitas con vegetales para darles comida y pasar un rato jugando con ellos. Habían cabritas bebés y pony juguetón hajjajaj. Después de eso salimos del zoológico de contacto y empezamos a caminar para ir encontrándonos con el resto de los animales. Al primero que vimos fue a un leopardo que estaba jugando con un tubo de metal, si, de lo más sutil.... Estaba muy lindo, algo que me gustó mucho es que los animales estaban muy bien cuidados y alimentados y el lugar donde habitaban estaba muy limpio, tal cual como debe ser.

We arrived at the zoo and parked, the entrance is completely free the only thing you have to pay is the parking fee but it is a very economical amount. When we arrived we went straight to the "contact zoo" part, there were little cows, sheep, alpacas, goats, goats, pigs and llamas and you could buy bags with vegetables to feed them and spend some time playing with them. There were baby goats and a playful pony hajjajajaj. After that we left the contact zoo and started walking around to meet the rest of the animals. The first one we saw was a leopard that was playing with a metal tube, yes, a very subtle one. .... It was very cute, something that I really liked is that the animals were very well cared for and fed and the place where they lived was very clean, just as it should be.

Luego nos encontramos con los monitos, un oso Palmero, un puma que también estaba muy bonito, gordito y con mucho sueño, habían animales sueltos, como pavos reales, pavos y hasta una cabrita que estaba embarazada. Más adelante nos encontramos con un león blanco o león africano, este también estaba con mucho sueño pero sin duda fue uno de los dos animales más bellos que tiene el parque, estaba precioso, se nota que le dedican mucho tiempo al cuidado de los animales a parte que hay un centro veterinario justo al lado de el habitad de este leon y en el recorrido ví a muchos veterinarios viendo a los animales sobre todo a las cabritas chiquitas que mencioné al principio.

El otro animal que me pareció espectacular fue el tigre de Bengala, sin duda es la mayor atracción del parque, a él le gustaba que lo vieran ya que empezó a caminar de un lado a otro para que todos lo pudiéramos observar. Luego pasamos a las vaquitas y junto con ellas estaba un caballo muy lindo. Por esa misma zona estaban varios tipos de patos en su estanque y de garzas y al lado estaba el lugar de las avestruces.

Then we met the monkeys, a palm bear, a puma that was also very beautiful, chubby and very sleepy, there were loose animals, like peacocks, turkeys and even a little goat that was pregnant. Further on we found a white lion or African lion, this one was also very sleepy but without a doubt it was one of the two most beautiful animals that the park has, it was beautiful, you can tell that they dedicate a lot of time to the care of the animals, besides there is a veterinary center right next to the habitat of this lion and on the tour I saw many veterinarians seeing the animals, especially the little goats that I mentioned at the beginning.

The other animal that I found spectacular was the Bengal tiger, without a doubt the biggest attraction of the park, he liked to be seen because he started to walk from one side to the other so we could all watch him. Then we moved on to the little cows and along with them was a very cute horse. In the same area there were several types of ducks in their ponds and herons and next to them was the ostriches.

Hay un espacio dedicado a las aves, dónde habían guacamayas de todo tipo, tucanes, loros, cisnes y una variedad de aves que ni sabian que existian jajaja.
Ya al final del recorrido, nos encontramos con el cunaguaro que justo lo estaban alimentando, una especie de zorros pequeños, puercoespines, una suricata y lémur que recientemente tuvieron un nacimiento de muchos de ellos asi que habían unos chiquitos.
Yo también estaba muy emocionada porque habían muchos chigüires, el roedor más grande y mas amigable del mundo, son tan cuchis. Hay un insectario que cuenta con una variedad de insectos y con la descripción de cada uno pero lamentablemente pudimos entrar ya que tenía un horario y nosotros habíamos llegado unos minutos después de que cerrarán, al igual que hay unas hienas que llegaron hace poco pero no las encontramos, caminamos y no las vimos 🥺.

There is an area dedicated to birds, where there were macaws of all kinds, toucans, parrots, swans and a variety of birds that I didn't even know existed hahaha.
At the end of the tour, we found the cunaguaro that was just being fed, a species of small foxes, porcupines, a meerkat and lemurs that recently had a birth of many of them so there were some little ones.
I was also very excited because there were many chigüires, the biggest and friendliest rodent in the world, they are so cute. There is an insectarium that has a variety of insects and a description of each one but unfortunately we could enter because it had a schedule and we had arrived a few minutes after they closed, just as there are some hyenas that arrived recently but we did not find them, we walked and did not see them 🥺.

Fue una experiencia grandiosa, la verdad es que ame lo bien cuidado que está el parque, y los animales están muy lindos, bañaditos y muy bien alimentados, la verdad vale mucho la pena ir si alguna vez tienen la oportunidad de ir, háganlo les aseguro que les va a encantar..... Hay zonas para hacer picnic y hay parques infantiles para que los niños se diviertan al igual que pequeños locales que venden golosinas, cotufas/ palomitas y una que otra comida al igual que bebidas.

It was a great experience, the truth is that I loved how well kept the park is, and the animals are very cute, bathed and very well fed, it is really worth going if you ever have the opportunity to go, do it I assure you that you will love it ..... There are picnic areas and playgrounds for the kids to have fun as well as small shops selling candy, popcorn and some food and drinks.
