Hi everyone 👋🤗.. I welcome you all to yet another week in the HiveOpenmic community. This is week #171 with the theme "Divorce and Separation"

Alright, so in regards to that, I will be presenting a song titled "You're still the one" by "Shania Twain". I hope you enjoy the song.

"Divorce" according to the English dictionary means the legal dissolution of a marriage. It also means A separation of connected things. "Separation" means the act of disuniting two or more things, a place at which a division occurs.

Divorce and Separation are interwoven and it's definitely not a good thing for anyone that is married. Divorce and separation doesn't just happen but rather it occurs when there's a problem between couples.

Divorcees are everywhere now and with how everything is going on now in the world, people make it seem like it's a normal thing. It baffles me how couples do not hesitate to separate themselves from someone they once loved. There's always a question about that very act which is What happened "?

Like how do you suddenly move from being all lovey-dovey to a being a bad, wicked and terrible person? That is why it is imperative that we go into a relationship with someone who is born again and knows Christ.

Even those who are born again do have issues in the marriage and it's sad when I hear such things. I guess one needs to work on his/herself and be properly ready for a thing as serious as Marriage.

Few days ago, I attended a relationship and marriage seminar and the raw truths were said to us. People cried because they made mistakes and they saw the need to go back and do a thorough examination about their relationships.

Personally, I was touched and I made decisions on certain things. Marriage is not an obligation but rather it is a responsibility. You don't just wake up and get married. There are things you need to watch out for like the Red flags, character, attitude and so on.

You need to be ready spiritually, physically, emotionally, financially, mentally and socially. You don't just rush in because when once you enter, it will be difficult to go out. Do a proper check on who you're about walking down the aisle with and most importantly, Pray.

I know people can pretend to be who they're not just to get you to like them but with prayers, I'm sure and certain you cannot make a wrong choice.

This Shania Twain's song makes good sense and I couldn't think of any other song to sing because it's inspires me a lot. It talks about two people who took a decision to make their relationship/marriage work against all odds.

They stood together, holding on to each other and staying strong despite their imperfections. They didn't pay attention to what anyone said but rather strived to make it work between the two of them.

That is where love, sacrifice, commitment, loyalty and trust lies. People have their demons, weaknesses and imperfections. No one is perfect so we should all see beyond these things and try to make our relationships/ marriages work.

One of my prayers to God everyday is to marry right. I wish my single brothers and sistrens 😁 that too. Don't settle for less o, it is better to remain single than to be in hell all in the name of marriage. Forget what people will say. Do not jump into marriage when you're not ready so that you won't end up being divorcees just pray everyday and I am sure God will bring the right man/woman for you.
