Have you ever heard of the "warrior mode: one meal a day" diet
Hello!
This title, "The warrior mode", may surprise you but in fact, it comes from a personal experience. The one that I am currently living because these last months have been very busy, and particularly this month of March. I chose to face it in a way that I discovered to be extraordinary.
I chose to experiment with what some people call the warrior's diet, that is to say, to reduce my food intake to one meal a day, in the evening, and to fast for the rest of the day.
And what did it get me?
Fasting leads to an optimization of the body's capacities. First of all, we have a boost of adrenal hormones, testosterone. All our adrenal hormones are increased, Adrenalin is increased and we have more resources. And most importantly, I also discovered a better ability to adapt. Of course, this is the capacity of fasting. When you are fasting, you have a better capacity to adapt. When we are fasting, we have a better resistance to cold, heat and all types of physical and mental stress that we can encounter in our daily lives.
Link with detoxification:
The consumption of the body's reserves, therefore the production of waste. Because it is often this accumulation of waste that makes that after a certain time, we will find ourselves tired, with consequences at the psychic and moral levels, with a drop in motivation, we will start to feel cold, our energy level drops, drops and drops progressively. It is exhaustion that sets in, both by exhaustion of our nervous resources, but also by accumulation of waste.
So fasting is a very simple and free and above all natural method that allows me to help my liver and my emunctories to eliminate all this waste that spoils my life.
Another advantage: Discipline
We live in a world where people tell you: "There is no value in discipline". I say NO, on the contrary, discipline is what allows you to move forward.
Discipline is what allows you to go against the world's mindset that tells you, "You have to eat all the time, go, enjoy, eat, consume all the time."
Yes but that what they whisper in your ear, it is certainly not a message that goes in the direction of vitality and energy. It is a message that goes in the direction of consumption (More consumption = More sales).
So yes, it takes discipline. And I managed to discipline myself because I had no choice. And in this discipline, I simply discovered that in spite of a workload that was clearly increased, in spite of climatic conditions that were clearly deteriorated and difficult, in which my body was challenged, I discovered a vitality, an energy, a joy, an internal warmth that I had never known.
I've talked to you about detoxification in previous articles and I see that it interests a lot of people, and that's fabulous. I am extremely happy to see how much you are interested in these articles and how much they inspire you through the upvotes you give me. And of course it makes me happy and gives me a lot of desire and hope to continue on this path and to share with all of you what will help us to improve our global health, and to go towards a more and more healthy, clean and joyful future.
After my own experiences with intermittent fasting, I believe more than ever in its virtues. We live in a time when our insulin levels and our digestive system are constantly under pressure and this is not normal, especially at a time when the energy available for detoxification is diminished.
Why is it diminished?
First of all, because we spend a large part of this energy by over-activity at all levels: physical over-activity, mental over-activity, digestive over-activity, and moreover, the sources of nervous vitality, which are the sun, the open air, the fact of breathing deeply, the fact of being in the middle of nature and so on, are cut off. So somewhere we are in under-vitality.
The practice of daily fasting is an absolutely extraordinary tool to evolve in a non-binding way -- because it's really not binding once you get into the habit -- but to evolve in a non-binding way the whole nature of our body, to start gradually, without violence, to allow the organs to detoxify.
Because during all this time when we do not load the body, it is both energy that is recovered and it is especially products that come in less and therefore less catabolism, so less waste produced. On the one hand, we do not add to it, on the other hand, we relieve the organs that are supposed to deal with these wastes to allow them to eliminate.
We often see arguments like "yes, but one meal a day is not good for your health because it is not possible to assimilate so many proteins at once" and in the other camp we hear arguments like "yes, but the human being is not made to eat four or five meals a day"...
There are values in this world. I am at war with lies, I am at war with suffering, I am at war with disease. Then they tell me: "You have to love things. But I don't like lies, I don't like decadence. I don't like any of it. No I don't like it and I can't like it. There is no virtue in loving it.
This is a bad conception of the spirit that has appeared since the twentieth century, which has finally made us enter into a kind of lukewarmness in which there is no discipline, no voluntarism, no commitment, no testing of the bodies, of the individuals and of the psyche, and which makes us arrive at the state we are in now: obese, tired, depressed. Because we have not defined the objectives that we wanted to be able to reach.
With short fasting, intermittent fasting, daily fasting, whether you call it warrior fasting, whether you call it intermittent fasting, which consists of eating within a reduced food window, all this is curbed. Because it's not about eating less, it's about providing nutrients, but in a period in which we're going to make our digestive organs work, but we don't use them all day.
So it is important to note that it is not about starving yourself, on the contrary. It's about eating, but eating in a more punctual way, not all day long, but having real meals at some point in the day. With fasting, there is no upper limit and the more you fast, the more your organs will improve.
I often say how we have been lobotomized in a certain way to believe that it is always in external remedies, foods, external products that we will find a solution for our health, while everything is inside us.
If you do three or four meals a day, do three; if you do four, do three; if you do three, do two; if you do two, try one and see what happens.
To summarize:
This warrior mode, for me it has multiple advantages. The first one, as I told you, is to facilitate detoxification. The second one is the stimulation of the whole endocrine system which allows you to adapt better, to resist better, to go towards anabolism, body building, elaboration. For those who want to make muscle, those who want to build body mass, it is certainly a very good way.
This approach has another advantage, it is that we deliberately go against the grain mentally. We live in a time when we trust our lives more confidently to doctors or specialists who will pump you full of anxiolytics, who will pump you full of antidepressants, who will pump you full of cortisones, who will manage nosocomial infection problems in the hospital, whereas we have all the resources that are present inside us, but we have been brainwashed so much that we don't want to have access to them anymore.
I hope that these articles will help you to understand that finally, it is not a question of feeding yourself all the time from the outside, it is a question of letting your organs finally function on their own and that if you accept to live this experience, you will be amazed by the results you will obtain. You will marvel at a creation as perfect as our body, a creation that is so perfect that we have been forced to brainwash ourselves for tens and hundreds of years to make us believe that all the technologies we develop are superior to the perfection of this body that no one can imitate and that no one can understand.
I wish you a truly good regeneration. I wish you a regeneration also made of a fierce commitment to go towards health and towards the truth, and not a pseudo-truth made of opinions, of battles of opinions, but a truth based on tangible and rational facts of physiology and also based on your experience, on what really made you feel good.
I live from one meal a day two of my children too. We call it keto and it works fine for us. Not hungry plus fastening over 17 hours activates making new cells, stem cells which is important and worth the try.
Do I feel more active? I can't really tell. It's winter and cold and if it's cold I sleep more.
Interesting read. I had no idea such a thing existed. I have come to the point of relying on food banks to eat which means eating only once a day due to the amount they give out and the lack of transportation to get to more. It has had the benefit of me losing weight which is something I have wanted to do for more then ten years.
I have done this for a lot of the past two years ... one meal, or one meal and a light second if I have extended night working hours. I find that 16 hours not eating works well, but if it becomes 18 or more and I have to be active across that span in two days, that can be problematic...

Soon Muslims worldwide would experience it. They have to undergo fasting from sunrise to sunset.
I don't know what the science is on it, I haven't studied the subject, but I have been eating one meal a day for a couple of weeks and I'm doing just fine. I have energy, I sleep, I think clearly, in addition to that I've shed some extra pounds which may be contributing to feeling more agile. Sure, it was tough at first, I didn't know what to do with my time and I did go hungry because my body was used to a certain amount of food. Now? Shoot! I feel like I'm kinda free from food, like I could, if I wanted, just not eat at all today and I'd be fine.
On second thought, I think I've had a decrease in sex drive but not to the point of concern and no problem with functionality on will. Just not thinking about sex that often I guess...weird, now you got me wondering what else I might be missing that has changed.
Either way, I feel better like this, nothing is lacking and I even have a little more money.
I wake up, drink water. Like 4 hours later I will eat a banana o handful of peanuts. Nothing else but water until dinner.
