OneTask I Love Doing
One of the tasks I love doing at home is the essence of this post which is wood cutting. We have had an old palett for disposal and I didn´t want to throw it so I decided to cut it into pieces. I was born in a family with five brothers and not all at interested in construction works. I learned this from my Dad who once said that anyone can do a job if one would learn it and if there is a will to do it. He taught me how to make a stencil and how to do painting at my young age of 12. He also showed me how to cut wood panels as well as how to make cornices. With that in mind, I made a wooden wall rack for plates trimmed with cornice as a birthday gift to my husband. We now have it as a wall rack to display collection of blue and white plates.
So in this post, I am showing you that wooden palett made of pine I cut into pieces, it was not hard to cut since it was too dry and by using an electric saw, it was easy peasy. The pieces are good enough to fit into the wood burner and I did not bother to take off the nails since the fire in the burner would do the job. The pieces were gathered in 2 boxes, and I was happy to use them as starter to make the fire easily. When the fire is set, the olive woods are added to give a more intensive heat that warms the room instantly. The cost of electricity in Andalusia has doubled compared to last year´s costs so the wood burner is a good alternative to have a natural heat thereby saving a lot of money.
Thanks for reading this far. Stay safe and have a lovely evening.

You know ate @mers I'm having a wood cutting session every saturday morning while having coffee, I'm collecting different kinds of wood especially the huge roots, that's for our dirty kitchen in case of fuel shortage and of course I'm living in a mountain top and it's not practical to just let the wood rot, now I've save a lot for the gas☺️
