I have a friend which her name is Mimi, she is the best friend have ever had when we are school we did almost everything together, we eat together we cook together🤪 the funniest part of it is we take our bath together🥰🤪 After our study in school she travel for so long period of time, all of a sudden I received a call from her that she will be coming back today and that same day is her birthday.
That was how I started thinking of what to do to make her happy, then I remember when we are in school back then she love eating cake and the best out of her cake is velvet🥮 I tried my best to bake these cake all though the stress was much but I just felt it nothing afterall am doing it for my best friend and really appreciate it

Recipe for velvet cake

  • Flour -250grams
  • Sugar -300grams
    *cocoa powder-1 table spoon
  • Egg -2
  • Baking powder-1 teaspoon
  • Baking soda -1teaspoon
  • Flavor-two teaspoon
  • Butter milk -1 cup
  • red velvet colour
  • vegetable oil - 173 grams

Mixing and baking process

To make this cake, I mixed eggs and sugar together , then added the flavor as measured above. Next was baking powder and soda and a little of cocoa powder because it’s not a chocolate cake .

The butter and milk mixture is made separately . To make this i added one teaspoon of vinegard to my milk to make this mixture . This was then added to the mixture above .

Finally Vegetable oil was added to the mixture then a little portion of the velvet color for coloring .
To this mixture , the calculated amount of my flour was then added and mixed together I use hand mixture as am yet to buy the electrical mixer .

Baking was done in my local oven for about 45min to 1hour under moderate heat .

That was done before the final decoration phase and my cake was ready .

Am glad I was able to make this gift for my friend not minding the inconvenience. She loved and appreciated it, but am most happy that our bond of friendship is flourishing .

Thank you for visiting my blog
