Sometime in the next twelve months you will turn one year older.... What are you doing to plan for your life in your senior years, say when you are 65 or older? Use your own photos.

October is my birthday, I'm going to be 62 this year. Talking about life planning, in my case I started to do it I think since I was 30 years old, always thinking about emotional, economic, spiritual, physical stability, other areas of life, I was always looking for my finances to be enough for the house project, and other things.

I always thought about having a comfortable house for those years to come after 50. Sometimes, when many people are under 30, their concept is to live life, yes it is true, you have to live it but with firm steps in what you do, the physical youth is not eternal, the spirit must be kept young, to keep the enthusiasm, the joy, always wanting to do things.

Retired from the Ministry of Education since I was 45 years old, young yes yes, still productive age, at university level there was still a lot to give and so it was, until a moment came when I said, I've had enough of academics, I want other things.

Those other things, I want to enjoy my house for so much effort to have it comfortable and have peace of mind, to dedicate myself in the personal part of emotions, in the spiritual, to really enjoy from my concept of life ... that concept is to do things calmly, without pressure, without schedules, be quiet, know myself more, because society demands so much from us that there are times that we tend to get lost in these demands.

In these years I have learned that life is so simple and how much we complicate it by following social and even family demands, deciding how I will live my life is a process that I have been working for months, nothing simple ... because that tranquility that we all want must be sought within us, empty our minds of so many rules that are there, even we must find how to turn them around and turn them into friendly for that tranquility that I am already enjoying.

As the country (Venezuela), has given so many changes from many aspects, of course there are also opportunities to find how to achieve the tranquility we want in the midst of so much uncertainty. I insist, it is a process, but the steps are certain, it is something like my purpose, I decided that my purpose is daily, to be happy and be at peace with what I do every day.

If I have to share my days with other people, I do it, if I have to be alone, I do it. If I have to spend the day in housework, it is done with the best will and love, it is a way to be happy, without getting into big social projects to say that this is the purpose.

Well, every day I feel more clarity in me and that is my purpose to be happy and to be calm.

I am going to be 62 years old.
