Expedition 14 Phase 2 in No Man's Sky

My journey started where I ended last time. It was a planet called Rahype Omega; it was a barren planet in a system called Iawshea-Yook. For phase 2 of the expedition, my first mission is to reach the second dropzone. After recharging my Launch Thruster with Starship Launch Fuel, I fly out of the planet to search for some tritium in space to recharge my Pulse Engine Technology. The asteroid that is floating in space provides me enough tritium. From my current system, I need to jump three times before I reach the Nuuraya System, the Dropzone Two location.

I warped to the Zozaniu region and reached the Skinny Latte-Cafe42 System. Nearby freighter under attack, I want to help to destroy the pirates but worry that I will lose because my starship was not ready for combat, but I am going to try anyway. I actually defeated six pirate ships. Then, I connect the Starship Communicator and speak with Admiral Yunti. His language cannot be understood because I haven't learnt any alien words yet, but I can guess what he tried to say. I make my way to the bridge and speak with the captain, Commander Turkund. The freighter called CV-9 Sawateya was actually pretty good! It was Rank-B, and I can claim it for free! Yes! So now I can warp system to system using my brand new friend! After recharging the Freighter Hyperdrive with Warp Cell, my CV-9 Sawateya is ready to move.

My next target was Heshouve System. This time I warped using freighter. Then, my last target was the Nuuraya System, where the dropzone two signal was detected. I landed on an acrid planet called Ridl ll. The dropzone location was around 500 u from where I landed. The amount of toxin level reached 65.8 Tox at that time. I reached the second rendezvous point and started scouting the area.

When I entered the building, I completed the Independent Action, a Phase 4 mission that rewarded me with a pre-packaged Aqua-Jets Unit, and a historical document. I activate the Vanguard Intel Cache, and then I acknowledge the order. Dropzone Two missions were completed. I received Inventory Slot, Projectile Ammunition, and Nanites. I flew to an infestation site nearby, then started scouting the area; another brood mother appeared! After defeating the giant spider, I go inside the abandoned building and start activating the Intel cache inside, then I leave the terminal. Infestation Beta mission completed. The reward for the completion was a multi-tool class upgrade, a pre-packaged pulse spitter unit, a powerful pulse spitter upgrade, and impact igniter plans. What an amazing technology! Now I have Pulse Spitter and two Rank-A Class Pulse Spitter Upgrades.

My next mission was to eliminate 32 sentinels. I enter Planet Noshaseaia II, a life-incompatible planet that has high sentinel activity detected. I activated the planetary chart to scan for inhabited outposts and hopefully found sentinels there. While on the spaceship, I was attacked by three pirate ships, but I defeated them. When I reached the outpost, I was ambushed by the alien creature, but no sentinels. While shooting the threats, I completed the Lock and Load mission, which required me to unleash 1800 rounds of ammunition. This rewards me with unstable plasma, an ore-packaged plasma launcher unit, and a supreme plasma launcher upgrade.

I activated the last planetary chart I had; it forced me to land on a boiling planet called Iculom. This planet also detected high sentinel activity. When I successfully landed on the landing pad, the alien creature came out from the ground. No sentinel was found at first, but after a few minutes, it started to appear! So I took the chance to trigger them to come more and complete the mission. The Scrap Metal mission was completed after I defeated all attack waves of the sentinel; this reward is the forbidden exosuit module, salvaged glass, and atlantideum. Another mission called Purged by Fire rewards me with Liquidator Lef Arm, an upgrade to the Minotaur Heavy Exocraft Hybrid.

I continue my journey to the Sentinel Pillar. While eliminating the alien creature, I accidently completed the Purged by Fire 3 mission, which rewarded me with Liquidator Legs. In the meantime, the most important task since I am at the pillar is first I need to destroy the pillar control node, three of them. What a surprise! After destroying all nodes, the alien creature came out from the ground again! The weapon that was offered at the Boundary Archive Terminal disappointed me.

My next mission was Metamorphosis, to crush a vile grub. It's not far from the pillar, around 100 u. After I crushed the vile grub, Brood Mother appeared! I completed the mission and received Personal Forced Plans, Supreme Hazard Protection Upgrade, and Runaway Mould.

For the Close Air Support mission, I ended up constructing an incredibly long stairway into the sky, only to realize later that building height wasn’t necessary. To complete the mission, I simply needed to activate the jetpack and travel a total of 1000 units, this distance could be covered in multiple trips and wasn’t influenced by the height at which I activated the jetpack. It turned out to be a waste of time and resources. On the bright side, completing the Close Air Support mission awarded me the Supreme Movement System Upgrade and a Planetary Chart.

Phase 2 of the expedition is complete as the reward I received for the Bughunter Trophy Base Part.

After completing all the missions in Phase 2 of the Expedition, I returned to my capital ship so I can easily warp into Dropzone 3 the next time I logged in. Honestly, I’m not sure if I'll be able to finish the expedition. I've only completed two phases so far, and there are still many missions left. With less than 48 hours remaining and a busy day ahead tomorrow, it’s looking challenging. However, I’m glad I could be part of at least a portion of the expedition.
